Re: police HQ. Not to pick on the OP, but here’s another example of how you can talk about something for years, have a public hearing and multiple Council actions, and many people will still say “they had no idea” and think there’s something nefarious.

Spent two days in Washington representing and working on behalf of North Carolina. Led a panel on health care transparency, was on a panel with Wisconsin Congressman Bryan Steil, talked with U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson, Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan, Kentucky Congressman James Comer, and some of the President’s Team at the White House. Everyone mentioned to me high respect for our North Carolina Delegation!
