These thermodynamics & hodograph structure seem to be the ticket for photogenic tornadoes along a vorticity rich boundary. I think today's setup is contingent on: 1) Updraft residence time near initiating boundary/vertical vorticity source & 2) Discrete mode #sdwx #newx

I am quite surprised to see so many people on the clearly elevated storms and not going after the confluence/convergence zone along and south of the warm front to the east.

@MichaelMarz1 That’s exactly why I stayed northeast up near Benson… It seriously hurts having been wrong and missing Clear Lake. Still scored a tornado up there but man, the regret hasn’t gone away.

sfc obs at 21z on 6/28/2025 - you get storm initiation northeast of Watertown and also southwest towards Watertown - my thinking on Saturday was that I would want the cells going towards the green… I’m genuinely wondering what people saw who were correct at targeting that initial Watertown cell - always trying to learn

It is, but I just used it as an example as it seemed suspicious she deleted the tweet. I thought the same thing as well, but it wasn’t the first time she’s been caught doing it. She claimed she documented a tornado on a Kansas storm that hundreds of storm chasers were on and she was the only individual to see it. When asked by several people as well as the NWS she never replied

@225MPH_EF4 It looks as if the second photo was taken a few minutes later as the storm got a bit closer, and the wall cloud can and does change with time. I don’t know her personally so I have no bias, just speaking on this particular pair of photos. A weak choice of evidence, in my opinion

@225MPH_EF4 Just to play devils advocate; in this particular pair of photos, looks like a totally different time in the storms life. Maybe more context or previous knowledge of Photoshop but these two photos don’t look like the same photo at all, possible she just found a better one to post
