If SwiftUI 5.0 shipped with only `GeometryReaderThatDoesntChangeItsSubviews { }` my dumb brain would be so happy

I might have my dumbest question yet, but can someone explain to me how the heck you bend GeometryReader to your will without doing the Color.clear.overlay hacks? I just want to measure an HStack. 🥲

@slizeray @caseyliss @settern It does work now on iOS 15+, however there’s still a pretty big gotcha… You can only export the logs from the currently running process. So if the app crashes or is force quit, you won’t have access to export those logs any more.

@caseyliss @settern I thought exporting logs from OSLogStore was not supposed to work on iOS, only on macOS? Still using CocoaLumberjack because of this limitation….

I tried to be a good citizen, and move my custom logging solution to OSLog. However, I’m now running into this: stackoverflow.com/questions/7370… Is there any way to get debug-level log entries from OSLogStore?

@cabel If you want to DIY, then @Mad_Mapper and their MiniMad would be a great fit for this.

Greg and I hung some old PAX-booth Playdate artwork in the Panic office, using a projector as a layout guide. It really made me want to use projection mapping on these permanently, to light them up and do cool effects with them!

@twostraws When I had the 12” MacBook that eventually turned around on me. I’d pick up my bag thinking it had my laptop in it, only to realise when I wanted to write some code that it didn’t…

The biggest downside to MacBook Air is a silly one, and entirely on me: when traveling, I routinely think "my bag is so light I must have lost my laptop", and stop to check the device is actually there 😂

I’ve been using my new MacBook Air for two weeks now, and it’s an absolute delight. The M2 is blazingly fast, and every time I pick it up I get a little jolt of surprise at how thin and light it is. Obviously pairing it with the Federighi decal is the icing on the cake!

@digitalfx_ No, but probably coming soon. Since there was no RealityKit 3 on WWDC I’m expecting it to release alongside the new iPhones or HMD device event in Q1.

RealityKit is shaping up to be a great replacement for SceneKit for non-AR experiences. But there should be an option to control the frame rate, especially on macOS (where it's blasting at full 120Hz on my poor Macbook). Filed #FB11305740

@DLX @onmyway133 This sounds great! I’m pretty sure the answer here would be no, but would the purchase be compatible with open source projects? I’m thinking from the perspective of both committing to a public repo and then having unknown contributors cloning and submitting PRs?

@paulgrav @gruber Conversely, if I have a tab group open then click a link in say Mail, it opens a brand new Safari window rather than adding it to the group. And this sometimes repeats. I really enjoy using tab groups, but I end up needing to tidy Safari windows a couple of times a day.
