@SebJVidal Does throwing in a .geometryGroup() modifier somewhere help? :)

Why is it that every time I think “this custom component will be a great use of SwiftUI” (in this case a pretty stylised button, uneven round rect clip shape), the framework has other ideas…? 🤦‍♂️ Back to UIControl subclass, some custom CoreGraphics mask or QuartzCore SPI. 🙃

@azamsharp @nicmclego but this would result in unused UserStore initialized each time the container is initialized. you can use _userStore.wrappedValue in the InsuranceStore init param.

@nicmclego Inside your init, userStore is not yet fully initialized in a way that you can safely access it. You’re trying to use userStore before self (the whole struct) is fully set up.

@neilcybart these cross body straps are actually extremely popular in asia

Two reasons not to take Apple’s CrossBody Strap as a joke: 1) iPhones have long contained intangibles similar to jewelry. Why not show off our iPhone even when it’s not being used. 2) We are entering an era that will see experimenting as to where cameras should be placed on our bodies. The tech isn’t there yet for our best and most powerful cameras to be included in a lightweight pair of AR glasses. Also, such a device needs more than just a camera to change things.

I know UIVibrancyEffect only takes UIBlurEffect Style as a parameter but is anyone using it with glass? It seems to work and looks pretty nice… #uikit #ios

@simonbs Can you remove animation from the transaction when that state changes?

Tried ditching .inspector(…) for my own version that swaps between a trailing-edge inspector and a .sheet(…). It works but expanding the window causes glitches since .sheet(…) insists on centering itself when space allows. Haven't found a workaround to that yet 😕

Has anyone managed to recreate Shortcuts’ behavior where a bottom sheet becomes an inspector when there’s enough space on iPadOS or macOS? I tried using .inspector(...), but it doesn’t match Shortcuts’ behavior out of the box. Curious how others approached it.

Okay, I'm loosing my mind over this. I want to, in SwiftUI, have a text field become focused (first responder) WHILE it is being presented as a modal, not after. This is how I would do it in UIKit. Is there no way to do this in SwiftUI?

Web dev thinking that it is a good way to write styling should be ashamed. Why in the fuck is that even a thing? Can't you have a proper typed styling system?
