@hellonehha I’ve seen so many other immigration officers (other countries of course) find the entry stamp to their country and mark exit next to that. Indian immigration officers are born different. Exit on one page, entry for Same trip on other. No symmetry

My second passport has run out of visa pages. I had kept one blank page specifically for a visa. Based on my calculations, I only needed one more EU visa, so I thought I could avoid applying for a new passport. However, during my last trip to India, the immigration office stamped that same blank page. As a result, I now need to apply for a new passport. good problems to have 😂

Don’t get too caught up in the number of countries travelled metric. It’s a bit overhyped. A lot of those “30–40 countries travelled” numbers come from Europe. One Schengen visa and you’re visa-free across ~29 countries. Crossing borders every couple of days makes the count grow fast, but that number alone doesn’t say much about the quality of the trip itself. Travel isn’t meant to be a checklist. You don’t need to hop countries every 2–3 days just to inflate a number. Even in Europe, staying in one country for 10+ days is completely fine. Fewer checkouts, less transit, more time actually experiencing and absorbing the place instead of constantly moving. Unless someone has spent months travelling slow and intentionally, the country count by itself isn’t a great indicator of anything. Travel should optimise for what you want to do, not for how impressive your bio looks on social media. So don’t feel pressured when you see “30 / 40 / 50 countries travelled” in your peer group. Go at your pace. Travel the way you enjoy it. Quality trips always beat country counts.
