I welcome your hostility. Democracy is not a spectator sport.

@mattshumer_ I hooked mine up to discord so it can use all 12 of my clients, hop to whatever machine is needed from a central one, and have full access, wherever I am. It can open my chrome and change vercel settings, google workspace info. It’s sick

Is there a good way to control Claude Code on your computer (with dangerous permissions) from your phone, like Codex Mobile? And no, I'm not using Dispatch, it sucks.

@caps_raunak Maybe spending 30 years gatekeeping the trade with degrees and stupid leetcode interviews when the work never needs that, to preserve the caste wasn’t the best move and this is just karma

Bro I'm so fucking sick of pretending this is normal. AI was trained on Stack Overflow answers written by developers who got zero dollars and zero credit, and now those same developers are losing their jobs to the thing their free labor built. We built the rope. They just used it.

@somethings_awry The skilcraft government edition pen is my favorite so far, small and underrated but fine point and never seems to struggle to feed

Being autistic I'm unable to purchase anything without up to hundreds of hours of extensive research but if possible I will buy and compare products until I find The Best Product such as the lifelong goal in finding The Best Pen

Yawn! (。☉︵ ಠ╬)@YaniJPG

it’s really funny that it took 26 years for me to be diagnosed with autism when I’ve spent my entire life in search of The Best Pen, and if I am ever forced to write with a pen that I do not currently consider to be The Best Pen, I will freak out like I am being skinned alive

I know a lot of people really wanted this weekend's box office story to be "Ha ha, the old boomer icon is washed compared the new kids" but a 44 million dollar opening weekend for an original science fiction film anchored by Emily Blunt is actually...pretty respectable?

Just seen Disclosure Day, which was fundamentally very silly throughout, but it's interesting that they couldn't advance the format of an "aliens are real" movie beyond the themes and formats that an audience would have been familiar with 30yrs ago

@g_shullenberger And it’s a really naive high school concept of how news work. Like yeah some random Chicago station or something will launch this. CNN msnbc Fox etc all share a central broadcast room and would agree to cut to a competition feed vs do their own.

Specifically what’s notable is that it the plot is anachronistically centered on broadcast media, leaving out the Rogan-adjacent podcast sphere which is now the audience most concerned with “disclosure.” (Plenty of films have had conspiracist podcasters as characters by now.)

@SHYNE2LIVE The marketing was dope, strong actors. Shame the screenplay was heavily ai written and consigned by Spielberg for the name value.

It’s clear Spielberg didn’t care about making a good movie in D-day so I’m not sure why ppl are giving it the benefit of the doubt instead of admitting it’s the worst thing in the world. Too much reverence and idolization for directors these days

@redrummarts Like oh yeah I want to watch a seltzer version of ET with shitter CGI and Ai writing from a washed up boomer. Genuinely thought this was going to be a great movie, to find it’s a step above a TikTok series

All the negative reviews of Disclosure Day seem to think Spielberg is out of touch, and all the positive reviews seem to agree but find that charming

@PostDisclosure It’s like disclosure for kids. Men who stare at goats, arrival, ET, literally American horror story went deeper with a more coherent story. Everyone’s upset because the trailer made it seem sick, and then we find out the trailer was 90% of the content

UFO debunkers railing against Disclosure Day is genuinely bizarre. Their contempt for UFOs exceeds the actual subject they claim to debunk; even a movie touching the topic becomes offensive to them.

The main "bad guy" is a cliche' evil British guy who runs a private company whose purpose is never explained. Did I mention he has a magical MacGuffin that does random things to move the plot forward? It didn't miss a single lazy film making trope.
The Tonicmole🧐@TheTonicmole

I went and saw Disclosure Day. One of the worst films I've seen in a while. The script was cliché, squandered the cool premise, the characters are shallow and the FX some of the worst I've seen in years. Not sure what Stephen Spielberg was thinking.

@TheRochaSays 300mil cost to market, movie plays out like a joke of a 90s thriller. Dude needs to hang up the hat, plus ai wrote / created a bunch of scenes for this. Or they went super cheap on cgi. They’ll break 300 but it’s a overall flop economically

People with ADHD have what’s called “interest-based nervous systems.” We literally cannot force ourselves to care about things that bore us, It’s not a choice It’s not willpower. Your brain physically won’t produce the neurochemicals needed to engage unless something triggers interest, urgency, novelty, or challenge.

Boomer garage sales are so funny because you pull up and it'll be a bunch of broken Nerf guns, clothes from 30 years ago, and a copy of a Dave Ramsey book. They have tons of junk but never anything cool
