@EmiratesSupport @emirates shame on you. You are refusing to refund us for an up coming holiday to Dubai because our holiday is not within the next 72 hours. You seem to think it’s acceptable that families and will be be wanting to fly to an active war zone or one shortly after, depending on how long this goes on for. Your customer support agent had little to no knowledge of process and was just saying that we have to wait.

@bcherny you mentioned recently about improving compacting. I've taken this approach which seems to work quite well and super simple. Worth testing further IMO. The first instruction should be about compacting, then just wrap everything that is critical into a <nocompact> tag.

@bhalligan I don't think signing off with "Love, Brian" is appropriate for our team, but agree w/ the rest.

Dear CEOs, A good way to kick off a new year is a note to your team with 1. A thank you for the hard work and xyz result from 2025 2. The strategy for 2026 & how it differs from 2025 3. Top 3 things we are working on & not working on in 2026 4. Stirring close Love, Brian

Backend API function invocations on @vercel are growing 26% week-over-week. Primarily driven by Express, Hono & Nitro. Turns out devs want the same things for backends they already loved about Vercel. Great DX, fluid scale, preview deployments, instant rollbacks, great o11y…

@CookiebotCMP @donnadror this is a terrible dark UX pattern. Why are you trying to trick users in to accepting cookies with these toggles?

Surprised (and frustrated) to find @AnthropicAI puts an expiry date on prepaid API credits, then auto-recharges. We once cranked up our auto-recharge limit to handle analysis that burned through $$$ in hours. A year later, unused credit just expired (because "they can") and then Anthropic auto-recharged us again without warning or refund options. Feels very Adobe. Anyone else run into this?

@JasonDClinton any ideas why @AnthropicAI doesn't provide traits like IP ranges (or message signatures) and unique user-agent strings for each of its services? It's generally a requirement for a good bot to provide something. The current docs give robots.txt bots.

This is dark pattern by @AnthropicAI to trick people into using their data for training. You need to toggle OFF and then click Accept. If you click “Not Now” it will defer and seems to default to ON.

Everything about yesterday's Starship launch was outstanding, but this might just register as insane. @elonmusk everyone wants to know, what kind of camera did the work here and why isn't it a pile of ash?

Does anyone know why Google Maps is suggesting routes that contain restricted vehicle access for specific hours of the day? It does seem like sharing that data would not be in the best interest of @wandbc council because the council is generating revenue from PCNs 👀

This is honestly a terrible script and just put out as a marketing stunt. It doesn’t factor in real WAF conditions and will most likely confuse teams rather than provide them with true insights. What do I mean by that? Bot protection often uses multiple traits - such as an IP address range plus user agent. OpenAI also recently started using message signatures. Just giving a user agent which can be spoofed is only giving a tiny piece of the puzzle. You’re more likely to get your requests blocked by spoofing.

A Python script that checks if AI bots are actually allowed to crawl your site 👇 @sergebezborodov has created an AI Bot Access Checker! Even if AI bots are explicitly allowed in robots.txt, they may still be blocked at other levels: * CDN-level blocking * Firewall rules * Rate limiting systems * Geographic restrictions * Dynamic bot detection This script validates the access for Multiple AI Bot User Agents across multiple configurations: * HTTP status codes * robots.txt compliance checking * Meta robots tags * Response times and performance metrics Check it out: github.com/jetoctopus/too…

@elonmusk Grok app has a bug where it’s stuck expecting 2FA even though I’ve tried a few times to reconnect using an authentication app and even temporarily disabled 2FA altogether. I have/had passkeys setup on Bitwarden. I’m blocked out of Grok on iOS.

Apparently the @Conservatives gov left a £22bn blackhole for the @UKLabour to pick up. We heard about it from @Kier_Starmer for months. He went and @RachelReevesMP to the pub with their mates for a cunning plan and was like, hold my 🍺. We need to raise taxes for the existing £22bn blackhole then we need to double the blackhole to show we’re the boss. More is better, right? Waiting for them to blame anyone but themselves for this 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Hi @Ticketmaster I was in Vegas last week staying in one of the MGM hotels. I think you’re blocking the entire MGM network, which seems like a very bad idea given that people are on holiday or travelling for conferences and may wish to book tickets for events/shows

@VictorMotricala @rauchg @raunofreiberg Would need to include time of day in the test for the user. I generally prefer A, but B can be useful during the evenings where A has too much brightness, even with screen brightness reduced.

@rauchg @raunofreiberg Why not simply a direct A/B test online with real visitors? This poll doesn’t necessarily reflect the results you’ll get with your real traffic since the audience could differ
