Asking Claude to "roast its own plan" works a treat also. We use something like this: ======= Self-Critique & Revision Protocol Review the plan you just created and ruthlessly critique it. Be specific and honest, don't hold back: Roast your plan. Identify every weakness, gap, naive assumption, over-engineering, missing edge case, and anything that would make a senior engineer wince. Call out where you were lazy, vague, or hand-wavy. If something "sounds good" but wouldn't survive a real code review, say so. Rank the issues by severity (critical → minor). For each issue, briefly explain why it's a problem and what could go wrong if left unaddressed. Propose specific fixes for each issue, not vague improvements, but concrete changes to the plan with clear reasoning. Ask for approval before making any edits. Present a summary like:" Here are the N changes I'd like to make: [list them]" "Should I apply all, some, or none of these revisions?" Do NOT silently revise the plan. Wait for explicit approval before modifying anything. ======

I use a very specific prompt to push Claude to check its work and do a lot of testing and thinking about perf and refactoring. I find I can do big features (4K LOC+ with full testing) in about an hour.

@AskPayPal PayPal IPN System Broken on "recurring_payment" IPN calls for some IPN messages are failing. We have not changed anything at all on our end - this problem is on PayPal side. IPN for “recurring_payment” are at fault. IPNs with “subscr_payment” seem to be working.

No, because we banned it immediately, but they changed their referring url, and registered a new account. As mentioned, they may have the code on our site still, and the widget may indeed load if offenders get tricky and wrap it in an iframe. There is nothing we can do about that. As much as we wish we could. We appreciate the assist, but this is a game of whack a mole that we have an entire team dedicated to 24x7.

@tawktotawk Yeah, because it was banned just now. Now please follow through and suspend these domains offering fake publication services all tied back to Source Code in Karachi. A legitimate business does not offer medical and book writing services.

@tawktotawk Why do you take so long to act on abuse reports? I sent you a formal abuse report in February and also in June and nothing has been done. They are using your services stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from citizens in the UK, Australia and US whilst being situated in Pakistan.

@aussinfosec That domain and site was already banned. They have our code still on the site, which we have no ability or access to remove, but if you visit the domain you will see you can't actually initiate a chat.

@tawktotawk I have submitted two reports through there already and nothing has been done. Additionally I see another customer reached out on X here - x.com/TheDragonPit/s… and these domains are still using your live chat agent whilst selling illegal content.

Because there is nuance to every request. We deal with every single abuse report within minutes, not days. But sometimes (often) we have been served a preservation order or subpoena to preserve records. If an obvious fraudster hasn't been banned, there is a reason.
