@andyfang Why don't you fix your horribly coded app before you introduce new things. If you're the CTO, you should have been fired long ago. Of all the gig apps, dd is the worst programmef, most buggy app by a mile, it's no contest

Introducing Dasher Tasks Dashers can now get paid to do general tasks. We think this will be huge for building the frontier of physical intelligence. Look forward to seeing where this goes!

Verizon continues their new tower and colocate spree in Flagler County, Florida while the other carriers largely ignore the county. Verizon has added over 18 sites and small cells over the last couple of years. There's a bunch more pending. Now if they could turn them on faster than they build them it would be great. Averages 6-10+ months before they are online @SneedTech @Terrell352 @jon_bogger @CleverIv

My new favorite NYC life hack: take Ubers for ~50% of the price It’s called Empower I took a car from Manhattan to Newark during peak time. It cost $61 (usually >$120) What’s the catch? I looked into it: Drivers pay a monthly subscription fee to be listed on the app. In return empower takes no cut (vs 30% from Uber) Drives set their own prices So legally they are not a ride share biz but a marketplace Founder is a lawyer who interned at the White House. He figured this out! P.s. this is NOT a paid promo. Just had a great experience that is all.

@TomberlinGaming @zachbussey The only way you will get your money is to send a 30 day demand notice(which they likely will send a canned response) then sue them in civil court. Otherwise it's just as you said nonsense bs responses.

Your first mistake was booking a flight the same day as the cruise. Always fly the night before. Your second mistake was not taking travel insurance for a trip with that high of cost which would have reimbursed you. You decided to gamble and chose your own risk tolerance, and lost this time.

EKÙN II🐯🐅(Tiger de 2nd)
I will not send you guys DMs; I will make it public. My family has been planning this vacation for over 9 months. We paid for our suite on the cruise for a family of 5, totaling upwards of $7,000. We are supposed to arrive at the harbor by 2 p.m., with the ship sailing at 4. We booked a super-early flight that cost a little over $1,400, and I paid $240 for extra luggage. For this vacation, my wife and I cleared our calendars, with a running cost of at least $30,000 for the whole week. Last night we tried to check in but realized the flight was overbooked, and even after checking in, we weren’t assigned seat numbers. I also paid $80 for remote parking at DFW for 6 days, just for convenience. We told my wife we had to get to the airport. Our flight was at 6:30 a.m., so we left home at 3:30 a.m. and arrived before 5 a.m. The first attendant told us there weren’t enough flight attendants, so the flight was cancelled. We spoke to another one, who said it was a weather issue in Miami. What I know is that the flight went to Miami, but because it was overbooked, they randomly cancelled some passengers. What upsets me most is that my wife warned me about this airline. Also, my son is supposed to turn 9 on Wednesday, all of that is gone. Royal Caribbean did not refund our money. My children’s spring break and my son’s birthday have been ruined just because we booked with Spirit Airlines.

@ekun_II We're sorry this has been your experience. It's not what we aim for! Send us a DM, and we'd be happy to help out.

I used to buy those but then when I needed it the total amount covered was very small. The airline refunded me an e ticket and Allianz said that was equivalent to a refund so they only covered the cancellation fee on my lodging. $140 from Allianz on coverage that cost me $139. $1 net benefit.

I have this trip insured with Allianz so we’ll see if it ends up having been a good investment. I’m sure Alaska will refund some of this fiasco, I just don’t know how much.

Update: @AlaskaAir is pretty terrible. 3 customer service agents and thousands of people in line. We stood in line about 7 hours while also on hold with them. They finally took our call and said the next flight they could put us on would be next Wednesday and we all couldn’t travel together. I’m traveling with two kids for context (12 & 8), so splitting up isn’t an option. We rebooked Starlux and board in about 20 minutes headed for Taipei. So far the customer service with Starlux is very impressive. Fingers crossed!

@PunkyCovfefe It has to do with pricing - you can but you will pay more. Gas stations do it. Swig does it. x.com/mcfranchisee/s…
McFranchisee@McFranchisee

@techhsiren It all comes down to syrup pricing and yes, it’s a mafia. Often times, smaller mom & pop shops can’t afford the fountain set up, so Coke or Pepsi will give it to them at a cheap monthly cost, but they can only run their respective syrup out of it. x.com/mcfranchisee/s…

My Lemon Law case against @toyota will be heard next week. My 2025 Toyota Sienna will have been at the dealer for 97 days due to an unresolved second row seat weld issue recall they have yet to fix. Toyota refused my offer to settle the case so we're going before an arbiter. I will share how it all went and my arguments after the hearing.

I think the biggest story with AT&T's new plans is this: AT&T is intentionally SLOWING their network down. Think about it: • All postpaid plans now come with QCI 8 priority data • Many prepaid plans + MVNOs now have QCI 8 priority data If everyone has priority, no one has priority. I think AT&T is intentionally creating congestion on QCI 8. Why? To make their AT&T Turbo add-on more worth it. AT&T Turbo gives you QCI 7. The more people on QCI 8, the bigger difference there will be in speed + performance on QCI 7. And the more people will be willing to buy the Turbo add-on for $7/line/mo.

@EZebroni I wonder if there's any correlation between early denials and if they do a soft check to see if the person's card has enough available credit to charge them rather than turo eating the cost. Must be some influence in this way somehow

Unfortunately, Turo denied our “cleaning violation” that we submitted based on the evidence below showing that someone puked from the driver rear passenger seat. The vomit was found on the seatbelt, on the driver door, between the driver door and the window, and on the exterior of the vehicle. Turo policy states that a “cleaning violation” will be charged for “bodily fluids”. However, this was denied.
