@SarAllyce People need to learn how to read. Your posts made perfect sense. Not even sure how it would be possible to misread the intent.

When I was in my “intermediate” lifter era (2015-2020) my pendulum swung a little too far against the dogma & I will now eat crow on the following beliefs I held during that time:
1. The anabolic window isn’t real/meal timing doesn’t matter
2. OMAD “works”
3. Cardio after lifting is fine
4. Running 4+ miles every day is fine
5. You don’t need rest days
6. No such thing as overtraining
7. No such thing as “crashing” ur metabolism
8. Don’t need to track protein
9. 5 hrs of sleep is fine
10. Carbs don’t matter that much
I looked “fit” (pic from 2017) so I thought everything was working.. and it arguably did “work” but I wasn’t making much (aesthetic) progress between 2018-2020. Fast forward to now & I see the difference between it “works” & being dialed in to the above

@wolfstrength Correct answer is 1, however because of human conditions, a successful trainer will do 2 because if people don’t see visible results quickly they lose motivation and want to give up. Newbie gains will build muscle and strength, so rely on those and lose the extra fat.
English

@DeanTTraining Steve is definitely one of the good ones in the industry.
English

@Hybridathlete It absolutely makes things easier. But the counterpoint is how much harder things were before starting. I finally started this fall and suddenly understood that life felt like running with a boat anchor dragging behind for many years.
English

Guys, you are not “normie” if you’re taking testosterone, regardless of age.
This is an awesome transformation and no doubt took a lot of hard work.
But I don’t understand why so many TRT/PED users insist on downplaying how much easier it makes things.
And I’m not against TRT/PEDs for those that want to use them, but it just seems like once people get on them, they just completely forget how much harder it was to build muscle, stay lean, and recover without them.
It’s like some psychological shift or some ego protection mechanism that doesn’t allow them to acknowledge how helpful PEDs can be.

D is the right answer: Not only does it include Butter chicken, Pad Thai, Dim Sum, Pho, Ramen noodles, and Korean BBQ, it also includes Kebab, Baclava, Shawarma and Falafel… AND… if you zoom in, a little bit of Sicilian pasta, pizza, Greek salad and Moussaka. Seal the deal with a nice New Zealand rack of lamb, a glass of Shiraz and Pavlova for dessert.

This is an impossible choice 😭

@sam_gzstrength My ulcerative colitis has been bothering me this week. Massive explosive diarrhea immediately before my top squat set today. Little bit anxious. Came out and buried 405x3, a weight I haven't touched in 2 years. Just fucking do it.
English

Your attitude about a particular squat or deadlift set can easily make or break it
The virgin "I'm tired, I feel something in my back, I'm not sure I'm gunna get it" = fail and give up after 1 rep
Vs
The chad "I may not feel 100% but I'm going to focus attack this set anyway" = grinds the 5 reps
English

@sam_gzstrength @AdamBarretFSU Yeah, it's wild. Will be happy to get the 225 monkey off my back finally.
English

@beepboop311 Same thing flying to the northern parts of Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Alberta, NWT out of Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Edmonton.
English

@AdamBarretFSU @sam_gzstrength It's wild. Squat 400x3 last week, rack pulling 470x5, got a double with 215 - which is already better than my previous 215x1 PR.
English

@timsmithrx @sam_gzstrength Funny, 225 is easy for me. Deadlift not so much!

Happy birthday to Otto von Bismarck, who helped unify Germany and served as its first chancellor from 1871 to 1890.
This was similar to when Chris Jericho defeated both Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock in the same night to unify the WCW World Heavyweight Championship and the WWF Championship at Vengeance 2001; he would then serve as the first Undisputed WWF Champion.

@wolfstrength Terrific piece.
And I nearly fell out of my chair laughing at "He started with asking (h)why". I could hear Rio's voice in my ears.

New Article!
When I find myself in a training disagreement with a bro science coach on one side or an evidence based adherent on the other, we each make our arguments but it always feels like we’re talking past each other, like something fundamental is missing.
I believe this framework is what’s missing.

@ronaldtenholte @Hybridathlete You might presume wrong. At least in my case.
English

@Hybridathlete You lose roughly 700-800ml of water during the night. Replenishing that first thing in the morning does make sense. Most people probably wouldn't want to have that much coffee early in the morning, I'd presume.
English

Many of you don't seem to be aware that black coffee is 99% water.
So having a glass of water before you drink coffee in the morning is not the health hack you think it is.
Hybrid Athlete Guy@Hybridathlete
I drink coffee within 10 minutes of waking up, and nothing you say will change that.
English

@Hybridathlete Not sure why anyone would dilute the absorption of their caffeine in that way...
