Can someone explain what happened to former Trump Attorney General Bill Barr for him to turn so much against him this way? He is also constantly on media tours saying things like Trump has to be defeated, does not qualify to be President. Many ask why did he work for him then?

No, Christians shouldn't attend gay/trans weddings. You can keep a relational door open without the tacit endorsement such attendance implies. The prodigal's father didn't attend to the excesses of his son. But he kept the door open. Malachi 3:7

I think @AlistairBegg misspoke and misapplied the Christian sexual ethic with his advice to attend a gay/transgender wedding. I also believe that he is one of the most important leaders and voices in modern evangelicalism. He’s been biblically sound and faithful for frankly longer than I’ve been alive. I greatly appreciate him. Both of the above statements can be true at the same time. In his own words, “The best of men are men at best.” So, I am personally praying and hoping for a clear, public course correction from him on this issue. Let’s pray to that end.

I'm not ready to condemn him and his body of work over this. There was context to what he said which is not being shared. I STILL believe that he is wrong even with the context, but I pray that he sees the error at some point. I am not throwing out the decades of teaching by a faithful man of God over this mistake.

Maybe it’s because he’s on trial for slandering the woman he sexually assaulted… Or that he tried to use his mother-in-law’s death as an excuse to delay his court dates… Or that he smells awful… Or maybe it’s the walking dead syphilitic flesh fungus that is grossing her out… We might never know all the reasons why Melania refused to let him in the car after the funeral.
