Charlie Kirk was more committed to peaceful, open dialogue with those who disagreed with him than anyone I know. God blessed him with immense gifts, and he used them boldly and without fear. He knew the risks he was taking, but he did it anyway because he loved his kids & felt a responsibility to the nation they would inhabit. I traveled the entire country with him last year, we spent 1x1 time together in Ohio two weeks ago, spoke to him again 2 days ago. He’s long warned of the rise of political violence & the growing culture of assassination, when few were willing to listen, with a clarity of vision unlike anyone I’ve known. Completely and utterly devastated.

@elonmusk Elon, I agree but - just clarifying you aren't doing a nazi salute and apologising if it came across that way would be a righteous and decent thing to do that shows humility that is a sign of a great leader, especially as you're entering politics, or would go a long way.

Here are a few points on the debate last night from my point of view: 1) When Harris blamed Trump for antisemitism, he should have just pointed to the last eleven months since 10/7 in the US streets and universities. He didn't. 2) When she blamed him for negotiating with a terror organization (Taliban), he should have told her that she and Biden were forcing Israel to negotiate with Hams. He didn't. 3) When the moderators asked if he wanted Ukraine to win, he should have asked if Harris wanted Israel to win. He didn't 4) When Harris said he was weak on foreign policy, he should have said, I made a historic peace deal, the Abraham accord, and zero wars in my term. You had the worst war in the ME and Europe during your term as VP. He didn't. 5) When Harris blamed him falsely for hating Jews, he should have said, you stopped Israel from going into Rafah, which resulted in the death of Jewish hostages. He didn't I am sorry, but blaming the moderators can only go so far. Trump needs and can do better.

Read these names. Remember these names. These are the professors at @Columbia who have openly attacked the report by the Antisemitism Taskforce that documented dozens of antisemitic incidents on campus.

This is one of the more cringey Political Promos that I have seen. The energy here is really Summer Camp Counselors trying to be cool. JB: "Let's get it poppin' and let's change the world...STOP THE BOMBS. AOC: "We're going to win, we're going to take on AIPAC. We're going to kick some Wall Street Ass."

Any New Yorker who stands for peace cannot stand next to those waving Hamas and Hezbollah flags, especially at an exhibit commemorating the victims of the Nova Music Festival massacre. That is pure anti-Semitism. The NYPD has overseen thousands of peaceful protests, but it is our duty to arrest anyone who breaks the law. New Yorkers will always be safe here.

@punk7635 @petravoice Petra’s work is so obviously good that 68,000 people unfamiliar with how AI art works have taken to the streets with pitchforks I have never been more bullish for her and I hope she takes heart in what a strong signal of impact that thread is

I was deeply moved to receive this heartfelt letter from a high school student, in Wisconsin, interested in public service. Years ago, I was inspired to join the New York City Police Department by role models such as @NYPDChiefofDept. Joining the NYPD Explorers program changed, and saved, my life. To think that I would someday be inspiring young people from across our great nation is incredibly humbling. To our police officers, your unparalleled work does not go unnoticed. You are making a difference every day and making NYC the Safest Big City in America. @nypdpc @NYPD1stDep @NYPDChiefOfDept @NYPDChiefPatrol @NYPDnews

The NYPD will ensure everyone’s safety during peaceful protests. We will never tolerate any unlawful, illegal, and non-peaceful protests. NYC residents demand peace and reject unlawful behavior in any form. We will not accept the narrative that persons arrested were victims, nor are we going to allow illegal behavior. Acts committed by 41 people of which 36 WERE NOT FROM THE BAY RIDGE COMMUNITY or the City of New York. 1/3 arrested have a prior arrest history for other non-peaceful protests. The lighting of incendiary devices in the street.❌ Not following lawful orders given by the NYPD. Slowing down (63) 911 calls from residents of Bay Ridge during the protest. ❌ Throwing objects at our Police Officers.❌ Spitting and throwing water on our Police Officers.❌ Riding on the roof of a moving MTA bus.❌ Using sound reproduction devices without a permit.❌ Resisting or interfering with lawful arrests.❌ This was not a peaceful protest by some.
