@MjTheHunter Respect man, especially with kids on top of everything. That’s impressive💪 How many hours per day do you spend on your projects?
English

Same boat here. Full time job but kids as well.
I try to optimize my time as much as possible.
Early mornings, when kids are asleep.
And most of the work is done in the evenings alongside my wife.
Smaller tasks are for the mornings and any freetime I might have during the day.
The bigger tasks I reserve for evenings when I can focus
English

@LazyDevNL I think everyone is different and what works for one might not work for others. For me I found keeping a discipline in routines helped me making progress on a steady rythm
English

@ColorTheBooks Every single time I see limbs getting put into garbage disposals in your videos, I'm so glad we don't use those on a large scale here in Europe 😭😭
English

@GameDevMicah I get that. But not everyone has the budget or network for contractors and partners, but you really can’t carry a full-time job + game dev + life completely solo forever. Even small collaborations help a lot🙏🙏
English

@LazyDevNL Employees and contractors/freelancers (patterns too of course )
English

@WayfireGames I’m still learning that part. My brain keeps trying to speedrun life😭😭
English

@LazyDevNL I had to learn to reduce my work output a bit (in gamedev, was giving my 110%) so I can balance and have more time for personal game dev and fam.
English

@AnalogDreamDev Ah yes, the classic dev diet: 2 hours of sleep and 14 cups of coffee☕️
English

@LazyDevNL I find time in the early morning and at night to work on game dev. Take advantage of the time others are asleep to keep working 😅.
English

@InfoRosebrock @BallVeloci43098 Haha damn, you really went for it😂
Respect for the attempt though! But I’m sure you’ll come back stronger next time at another game😏
English

@LazyDevNL @BallVeloci43098 I tried beating you, thought your score was 53k and basically killed myself. Played myself.
The victory is yours, I won't do it again :D

English

Bomb gives a little breather but it comes back in fast.
Could you beat it?
#indiedev #gamedev #indiegame
English

@indieklem Great results.
A nice little uptick at the end! Hopefully, it keeps climbing📈

@dyrkabes I use AI almost every day at my job, and yes, you need to know exactly what you’re asking and what result you expect. It’s important to understand what the AI gives you, and you need at least two ways to verify the outcome to make sure it meets your expectations.
English

We will see how it evolves I guess
The most "funny" thing is when you see the whole process offloaded. Throw in some screenshots and phrases to Claude so it writes you an epic, ask it to split the tasks, write plans, implement. Already at step 2 there are so many hallucinations that ones reviewing that mess just spend more time correcting that all lol
I am definitely not against AI, I use it at my daily job and indie dev but in most of the cases I know what each line of code does :D Maybe only if it is something not important I don't pay much attention lol
English

@ChillbinGames Congratulations on reaching this amazing milestone! Wishing you continued success ahead🚀🔥
English

@babykingsgame Thank you❤️
She knows she’s pretty and the second you confirm it, she switches to full diva mode 🤣🤣
English

@LazyDevNL I keep a running list of smaller tasks, and try to work through a few every night. Anything more complicated than an hour I break up and tackle it in steps. That seems to work but the list just keeps growing!
English

@BallVeloci43098 You're spot on. I've had days where I hit a total mental wall working on the UI. Taking a break was exactly what I needed. The next day felt like a fresh start. Thanks for the advice!❤️
English

@LazyDevNL I don't have a deadline I'm just enjoying the process. The time off helps a lot. Read something that the brain is still learning when you're not doing it. You ever get it where you really struggle with something then go back the next day and you do it really easily.
English

@DeTomPlays Your content and reviews are highly relevant and well-founded. You should have no problem reaching 1000 followers within a few weeks to a couple of months🔥
English

@LazyDevNL 500 is a really nice one to hit, it feels something special. But like me, your next big one is now 1000 and hopefully we will both reach it in good time. Then I reckon it'll start feeling official like "We are worthy of being here", kind of thing, even though we are already. 🙂
English

@GIGachu1312 Wow, you created that pretty fast! Maybe a red one next that shoots fireballs that cause a cluster explosion of smaller fireballs on impact?😎
