@MattisRedacted @DemetriusRO6 Man you gotta be so braindead to not understand that's exactly what it is. The government wouldn't have financial issues had they not sold all our wealth to private interests. The problem isn't that government are spending, it's that they are continually selling & outsourcing.

I want to make Restore Britain's position on illegal migrants abundantly clear. Every single one would go. If you've come here illegally or stayed here illegally. You will be deported. And yes, that includes women and children - other parties are too scared to mention them. Reform have said they won't deport women. 'Not part of our plan' for the next Government, Farage says. That is a mistake. They all need to go. It won't be particularly pleasant viewing, but it needs to happen. Restore Britain has produced and released the most comprehensive policy on mass deportations ever devised in British history. A version for legal immigration is currently being worked on, setting out our vision for the 'red list'. What we are recommending to implement is an unprecedented level of removal. Along with our changes to legal immigration, millions will go. When I first started talking about this in Parliament, it was heresy. I was insulted and abused. Reform tried to put me in prison because of it - my home was late-night raided by armed police because Farage didn't like the fact I wanted to deport Pakistani rapists. I stand by every single word I said. Millions must go. Under a Restore Britain Government, millions will go. I promise you that.

@jmdenouden @Messinadress1 Our current system isn't set up to value teachers, unfortunately. I think historically one of the biggest issues has been low salaries and high pensions/benefits. High performing students aren't pushed into majoring in education because the incentives are all wrong.

When I was in my twenties I spent a weekend building a tiny section of dry stone wall about 3 feet wide near Glastonbury. It's painstaking, backbreaking, hand-shredding work. What a complete cnut this guy is. He should be made to rebuild a mile's worth of wall. And then we should knock it down and make him do it again.

People who make the decision to be childfree usually don't regret their decision. I don't know where this collective mentality that "I think people like this are going to regret not having kids in their future" come from. If having children were so great, I'm sure they would be having them.

Friend of mine is 35 years old, married and doesn’t want kids. His household income is roughly $300k/yearly and his house is nearly paid off. They invest a good portion of their income for retirement, take multiple yearly vacations and live a nice life. I think people like this are going to regret not having kids in their future. One day when he’s old all he will have to look back on is the random stuff he bought and wasted money on. Instead of putting that money towards having kids and building a family he’s choosing consumerism. This just seems so wasteful and boring to me.

@albiceleste37 @CigsMake You're scared and lashing out because you know what the answer is. Massive increases in labor supply (through immigration in the US) puts downward pressure on wages which is great for the big corporations and you don't want to be on their side. But, you are.

At a certain point you simply have to say to the libertarians "no, wrong." An orphaned baby does in fact have the human right not to starve to death in the street. Any form of society that can't guarantee that right is bad.

Tu peux partir demain. Tu peux monter ta propre boîte. Tu peux devenir freelance.

@ChrisHeddles @RockChartrand But poll taxes were instituted as a prerequisite to vote, this flat amount is not. And if it's about disproportionately hurting the poor because it's functionally regressive, so are social security and sales taxes. So how is this any different?

Unpopular opinion: there shouldn’t be tax rates, there should be tax amounts. If you split only federal spending evenly, it’s about $27,000 per adult per year, with roughly $3,700 of that just paying interest on past spending. That’s the actual price tag. The reason it’s hidden behind rates and brackets is simple: amounts create accountability. If every adult saw a bill for $27K, the question wouldn’t be “who should pay more,” it would be “why does this cost this much, and what am I actually getting for it?” Right now the system blurs that. Costs are diffused, benefits are emphasized, and the bill is partially pushed into the future. Amounts would force a different conversation. Not about redistribution, but about value. And that’s the part the current framing avoids.

There will be no national divorce because the Left will never permit one. If Red States tried to secede, the Left gets to do what they love doing, which is temporarily cast aside their explicitly anti-American hatred and LARP as the Union in the American Civil War. Their rallying cry will be that the trans youth of Mississippi are being oppressed, and that it would be a failure of Progressive morality for Blue State America to permit Red State America to leave the Union just so they can enact their racism, sexism, transphobia, Islamophobia, and all the other -isms and -phobias that the Left endlessly moralizes about as the root of all social evils. They’ll never permit it. They will quite literally fight a civil war to keep Red States in the Union, by pointing to Blue clusters within them that need to be saved from their reactionary fascist overlords. So your options are to just surrender to these people or to take power at the Federal level and impose your will on this entire country, including Blue States like California and New York.
