Happy Birthday to my Bride
It is Berly’s birthday today and I have a local roadtrip planned for her.
Our first stop is at a creperie in Princeton. I am wearing a scarf to try and pretend that I am a liberal.
Berly says that I am fooling no one. Especially after the table next to ours heard me say “anchor baby”.

Great news for self custody! Our contacts on the ground in Kentucky have told us that lawmakers are withdrawing the backdoor language after seeing the strong response from the Bitcoin community.
Thanks to everyone who signal boosted this issue.
We’ll keep you posted as the bill continues through the Senate.

Section 33 of Kentucky's HB 380 gives hardware wallet manufacturers two choices: build a backdoor, or stop serving Kentucky customers. Either outcome harms consumers. We've written to Senate President Stivers urging its removal.

My daughter is graduating. I think back to the times we had tea time together and wore tu tu’s. Then we moved on to her drawing fake tattoos all over me. JUST IN: @bitcoinpolicy reports a last-minute amendment to Kentucky HB 380 could effectively ban Bitcoin self-custody in the state.
The provision would require hardware wallet providers to reset users’ seed phrases on request, something that is technically impossible for non-custodial wallets.
The language was added late to a broader crypto kiosk bill that is expected to pass the Senate within days.
Industry groups warn the mandate would break Bitcoin’s core security model and push users toward centralized custodians.
