SSG | Switching Play | Secure and Score ⚽️ Created On: @SSPlanner 🟩 Set Up: ✔️ On a 45 by 20 pitch, break up the field into thirds. (A. B. C.). ✔️ Place a pair of mini goals back to back with a small gap between 🥅. (A. C.) 👕 Teams: ✔️⚫️ Attacking and defending team ✔️ 🔴 Attacking and defending team ✔️ 🟡 Support players 🗣️ How to play: ✔️ The possession team look 👀 to connect 3-5 passes in zone B. Before moving the ball into zone A. or C. to score in a mini goal 🥅. ✔️ If a team scores the opponents restart the practice from the goal 🥅 where they conceded. ✔️ They must work the ball into the central zone (connect the pass target 3-5) before being allowed to score in any goal. 🚧 Constraints: 🏆Reward: Double points if a team can receive the ball into zone area A. & C. Before scoring. 👨‍🏫 Review: Body shape to open up the space, Speed and accuracy of passing, When to stay on the ball and when to move it on. 🚫 Restriction: Get rid of passing targets centrally and put a 2 pass target in each area (A.B.C.) before scoring. @tactica1thinker @LloydOwers @Coach_Osku @205_Academy @TheS_Resource @BreakthruSoccer @JB_SoccerCoach @allenaremania @CoachingFamily @PeterPrickett

@ProAcademyDrill Chaos is needed! I was once told this because the game is chaotic. If it’s too clean cut A moves to B B moves to C etc there will not be learning. There must be an element of decision making

Most sessions look good from the outside. Good organisation. Good detail. Players working. But how often are we actually improving the thing we set out to coach? I’ve been guilty of it myself. Session looks sharp… but if I’m honest, the learning hasn’t really moved. So I’ve started asking myself one question after every session: “What has actually improved today?” Not what looked good. Not what felt busy. What genuinely got better? Curious how others look at this. How do you know your session has worked?

Very short Analysis of Attacking Free Kicks Arsenal v Spurs. Spurs are set up Zonally to defend (angle of the free kick and distance & angle from the box of the Arsenal players dictate this as Man to Man won't work here. Arsenal post two players on the top of the box to finish rebounds and prevent negative transition. Arsenal stack their back post players in a 'train' which runs across the box to disorganize the zonal players and the last player then cuts a run towards the back post as the ball is served. kingknighteducation.com/post/arsenal-v…

@TheS_Resource Love this! A great reference point and makes me want to analyze my own approach. I think the amount of talking is key. Coach don’t commentate

10 questions I ask myself about my own behaviour on the touchline. For years, I copied what I saw, the gestures, the intensity, the constant stream of instruction. If it was good enough for the Premier League, it was good enough for a Sunday morning under-10s. It took me a long time to realise the most important difference. ➥ Those are adults, and mine are children. Everything I show on that touchline, every reaction, every expression, every word, has the potential to shape how a child experiences football. Whether they stay in the game or whether they trust themselves on the ball. Over the years, I started asking players directly what they wanted from me on the sideline. Across different age groups, the feedback was remarkably consistent. They wanted calm, they wanted space to make decisions, and they didn't want the shouting. That feedback, combined with my own reflection and my coaching education, changed how I showed up. These are the ten questions I now ask myself 👇

Mentoring is more than just checking off a to-do list. In my recent role, I’ve seen that "success" is as unique as the students themselves. The rewards of this approach include: Improving Attendance: Supporting students who previously struggled to step through the school gates to return with confidence. Academic Resilience: Seeing students who once felt overwhelmed now sitting their GCSEs with a sense of calm and capability. Culture of Trust: Proving that empathy and intentional relationship-building are the most effective tools for long-term behavioral change. What I bring to the table: Adaptability: I can pivot from the high-energy social support needed in KS3 to the high-stakes academic coaching required for GCSEs. Relatability: I act as the bridge between staff and students, breaking down barriers that sometimes stall learning. Growth Mindset: My goal isn't just to "fix" a problem, but to give students the tools to solve the next one themselves. 🤝 Let’s Collaborate I am passionate about seeing students flourish and believe that these strategies can be adapted to support any school community. I am now looking to connect with other secondary schools and educational leaders. If you are interested in discussing how these regulation strategies can support your students, or if you’d like to invite me in to share my practice and insights, please feel free to reach out via DM or comment below. Let’s work together to build environments where every student feels supported enough to succeed. #EducationConsultant #SecondaryEducation #StudentWellbeing #SchoolLeadership #GCSEPrep #AlternativeProvision #TraumaInformed

Most goalkeepers train reactions… 👀 But here’s the truth 👇 📊 Only around 30% of saves come from pure reaction speed That means 70% is: ➡️ Positioning ➡️ Anticipation ➡️ Decision-making But don’t ignore the 30%… 🧤 Because in those split-second moments — deflections, rebounds, close-range shots — your reactions are the difference between a save and a goal. Elite goalkeepers master BOTH That’s exactly what you’ll find inside the #CoachesHub Pro Goalkeeper Library — training the 70% that most ignore, while sharpening the 30% you can’t afford to miss. Train smarter. Save more. 👉Are you training reactions or reading the game❓ #Goalkeeping #GKTraining #FootballDevelopment #GKUnion
