@AjRockatansky I know you know this. But generations of data show that people who eat fruits and vegetables are healthier than those who do not. So you do you, but for a population, the problem isn't that Americans are eating too many fruits and vegetables.

Fruits and vegetables contain damaging amounts of glycoalkaloids, cyanogenic glycosides, lectins, oxalates, and in many cases glyphosate and other insecticides. I know this because I used to eat the fool things. I am perfectly healthy without them. I was a wreck when I did eat them. My entire digestive system had problems from intake to exit.
Fish_and_Stock_Market 📈@ajz6383

@AjRockatansky "Other damaging things" but you chose to blame the two healthy things(fruits and vegetables) rich in antioxidants, polyphenols and flavonoids? Are you carnivores just born disingenuous or did your diets make you this way?

As expected, the Mormons came out in force in the replies to defend the church's massive investment fund. So many smug and self-righteous Mormons with knee jerk reactions and almost no apparent ability to take a critical lense at anything about their church.

Absolute insanity. An expert filmmaker exposes how the Mormon Church is hoarding a staggering 350 billion dollars and buying up massive amounts of American land while still demanding money from its followers. The religious corporate greed is terrifying.

@bfredbaker @FurkanGozukara He got a stipend and an apartment.. my cousin use to clean the prophets apartment.. its literally moderate.. none of our leaders are paid.. only cost of moderation. Probably less than $100,000 a year. Church does pay for travel needed for church but they do not own mansions?

@RobertLaRash1 @FurkanGozukara But who is getting rich off it? Who is "the church?" Who lives in $80 million mansions? Our prophet and church president died 6 months ago at age 101. How many billions did he get? Probably lots, right?😂

@landonschott How about if you trashed Biden for that, but now make posts defending Trump. Do the same rules apply? Selective outrage is one of the few things both sides have in common these days. We Repubs control all 3 branches now. How are we doing on the deficit? Are we even trying?

If your pastor criticized President Trump for his unbecoming comments, threatening an evil regime on Easter, but said nothing when President Biden supported Trans Visibility Day on Easter and let men with fake breasts who dress like women dance on the White House lawn, your pastor is a woke leader with selective outrage.

Recently, the Mormon church went from having three hour meetings to having two hour meetings, and the garments have gotten much skimpier. So... don't you think it's time that tithing decreased a little? You know, maybe to 9% or something?

2025 data from the Cooperative Election Study last week, reports that in the United States, fewer adults are self-identifying as #LDS than at any other time since the survey began nearly 20 years ago. The @Ch_JesusChrist has a retention problem. religionnews.com/2026/04/06/how…

@LonghornJoker The fringe beliefs- that I and all LDS supposedly believe- have only ever appeared in anti-LDS social media. I am 49. If it isn't taught in conference, at church or in any official church publications, what on earth are we even talking about?? Love being told what I believe...😳

You won’t get much detail about Latter-day Saint unique doctrines at General Conference because they are not discussed there. Conference talks are bland on doctrine.
Alma The Defender@antiantimormon

What do "Mormons" really believe? What is the doctrine of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? If you had no preconceived notions and only listened to #GeneralConference, ChatGPT concludes: Jesus Christ is the center of everything. He is not a supporting figure. He is the focus: “Come unto Him.” “Follow Him.” “Abide in Him.” “He is the way.” His atonement and resurrection are the core: He heals, redeems, forgives, strengthens, and overcomes death itself. Salvation is not passive belief. It is a covenant relationship: Baptism, sacrament, temple, obedience, repentance, enduring to the end, all bind us to Him. The goal is transformation: Be born again. Change your heart. Become like Christ. Develop charity. Become a new creature. The end is not just being saved, but returning home: To God. To eternal life. To eternal families. And the evidence of it all is how we live: Love others. Serve. Minister. Forgive. Help others come home. Everything points to Him. Jesus Christ is not one doctrine among many. He is the doctrine.

@Kaden_Johnson2 They use the "don't hurt your elders/swiss cheese" defense on LBJ. On fast breaks, defenses use the bullfighter/get-out-of-the-way defense. So it's more "don't want to" than "can't."😂

@YostinNBA I can show a pic of John Starks dunking on Jordan and say, "MJ wasn't even better than this guy!" So, be real. And also- make sure to show the clip of "the greatest athletes in history" sitting out defense and camping down court for free layups!😂

@Hoopss They are, as a pair, better free throw shooters, and foul-baiters. And that, my friends, is the modern NBA. Shai/Chet would each be 1 for 6 from the field, but win by flopping, kicking legs out on jumpers, and shooting 78 of 93 from the line. And wow! So exciting to watch!😂

Chet Holmgren reportedly believes that he and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander could cook Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal in a two-on-two matchup, even in a seven-game series against their championship versions. Holmgren expressed confidence in their modern playstyle, saying their spacing, versatility, and skill set would allow them to compete against one of the most dominant duos in NBA history.

@NILnotNLI @SethOnHoops That would make such a difference. If only the didn't get $40,000 in "free" tuition for bringing millions to a school! Yea, let's offload all the payments to private NIL entities- I can't see that becoming a problem! 😳

According to Jay Bilas NCAA athletes are professionals and "adults," not developing young adults (as @SethOnHoops correctly pointed out yesterday). Well, adults pay for their own lives. They pay for things like housing, food, and school tuition. How about Jay endorses the growing sentiment of eliminating "free ride" athletic scholarships for any "adult" who receives NIL or rev-share that exceeds the university's cost of attendance? If you get paid a million dollars, you should have to pay for school. Simple. That would be the "adult" thing to do.

@garytaubes @American_Heart I know you are aware that flipping a pyramid that hasn't been used for 16 years means nothing. And that the actuall words of RFK's "new" recommendations put a max of 10% of calories from saturated fat. So if red meat is a health food, RFK is saying "eat very little of it."🤷‍♂️

RFK Jr and the MAHA folks may have inverted the food guide pyramid, turning red meat and full-fat dairy back into health foods, but the @American_Heart is doubling down on the low-fat, plant-based advice it's been disseminating for decades. Should we expect anything different from the organization that created the low-fat consensus 60+ years ago? My latest Substack discusses the "one of us stinks" problem caused by challenging consensus science. It also answers the question raised last week by @MaryanneDemasi, why won't the lipid hypothesis die? What an absolute nothing burger of a general conference. All it managed to do was further convince me that the only values the bureaucracy and leaders of the church hold today are pluralism, feminism and egalitarianism. Does this church even give its members guidance and instruction, or call for repentance anymore? What other values can we even argue that the church holds? All the church seems to do with its time and resources today is do things that align with the previously mentioned values. A few examples of this outward alignment are; subsidizing Hindu temples and Muslim mosques construction in Utah, working with LGBT advocacy groups, and worst of all, coming out in this conference and declaring that even though marriage is purportedly an “eternal” and “indelible” covenant, it actually can be arbitrarily abrogated and dissolved if a woman spontaneously decides she’s done with it. But don’t worry, I’m sure the “trust the plan”, sycophantic Mormons will be out in force over the next week to tell you that this vacuous conference was actually the most sagacious in history!

Dr. Rhonda Patrick hasn't been getting sick since adding glutamine to her daily routine. She shared the science behind it on the Huberman Lab podcast. Patrick discovered during her graduate research that glutamine is so essential for cellular energy that cancer cells can survive on it alone when glucose is removed. That same property makes it critical for your immune system. Without adequate glutamine, your T-cells cannot properly activate when a pathogen enters your body. Your first line of defense is compromised. Patrick's protocol is simple: • 5 grams daily as a baseline. • 15-20 grams when sick, traveling, or exposed to illness. • Always split into 5 gram doses to avoid gut irritation. After becoming a mom, Patrick was catching everything her son brought home from school. Three infections a year. She started glutamine and the infections stopped. Even when the virus was in her house. Studies on endurance athletes backed her experience. High-dose glutamine significantly reduced respiratory tract infections in athletes who were most susceptible. One caution: anyone with an existing colon or liver tumor should avoid it. — Dr. Rhonda Patrick (@foundmyfitness) on Andrew Huberman's (@hubermanlab) podcast PS: If you found this insightful, follow me as I continue sharing unconventional health content just like this.
