@ByronDonalds Just think of the good for veterans, homeless, disabled etc that 81 million could do instead of wasted on political advertising

More than 35,000 people have donated to our campaign — we’re honored by that support. I have the skillset to build on the Governor’s great record, make life in Florida more affordable, and defend the Florida Dream.

I can already see the lawsuit. A Marine retires after 30 years of service and moves to Florida in January 2027. He’s told he must wait five years for the full homestead benefit. His next-door neighbor gets it immediately because they established residency before the cutoff date. The question isn’t whether that’s popular. The question is whether that’s fair.

No child should have to worry about where their next meal will come from. For many families, summer break means losing access to the reliable meals children receive at school. Feeding Tampa Bay’s Cereal for Summer campaign helps bridge that gap by providing nutritious meals to children throughout our community. Whether you donate a box of cereal or make a financial contribution, every act of generosity helps ensure local children have the food they need to learn, grow, and thrive. Scan the QR code to donate or find a drop-off location near you. Together, we can help make this a brighter summer for Tampa Bay families.

Just a reminder that since getting back into office, Pres. Trump has slashed billions of dollars in grants that kept communities across the U.S. safe, from mental health services to housing-first programs. How's that for making America "safe" again?
U.S. Department of Justice@TheJusticeDept

Today, we’re excited to announce the Model Cities Initiative which is the next step in this administration's mission to restore law and order, back the Blue, and Make America SAFE again. Thanks to the One Big Beautiful Bill, we are surging $300 million in grant funds to support 2-4 cities with a population of 100k or more who are serious in reducing violent crime, restoring law and order, and modernizing their public safety infrastructure. Under @POTUS's leadership, this Department of Justice, and this Initiative is focused on results, and are looking for true whole-of-government partnerships. Apply now: justice.gov/grants Submissions are due September 1st.

➡️ Community supervision hit its peak in 2009. Since then, the overall rate of people on probation or parole dropped by 31%. These declining numbers are the result of courts placing fewer people on probation and parole boards being stingier with granting release in recent years.

Today, I voiced my concerns on the Senate floor regarding SJR 2F, the proposed constitutional amendment on property taxes and voted no. 🏛️ While property tax relief is an important discussion, this proposal was rushed through the process without fully addressing critical questions about its impact on local governments and their ability to fund essential services such as public safety, infrastructure, and schools. The affordability crisis facing Florida is much larger than property taxes alone. If we are serious about helping Floridians who are hurting, we should be addressing housing costs, insurance costs, and the barriers facing first-time homebuyers and seniors on a fixed income—not advancing a proposal that leaves so many Floridians behind. This one size fits all approach will not provide any relief for renters which make up 1/3 of the residents in our state. ⚠️ Floridians deserve a transparent conversation and clear answers before such a significant change is made to be aware of the potential loss of essential services. The proposal will now appear on the November 3 ballot, where voters will have the final say and it will need 60% of the voters support to pass. ✅ I encourage everyone to learn more about the amendment and make their voices heard at the ballot box. 🗳️ Watch here: vimeo.com/1197789887?sha… 🗳️

Proud to vote YES on HJR 1F today. If voters approve it, the homestead exemption jumps from $50,000 to $150,000 in 2027 then to $250,000 in 2028. Florida homeowners are being crushed. This is how we fight back, allow the people to decide.
