@GrumpyOW @SVPhillimore I saw a pic of him backstage at his music thing the other week. He's even further from 'down with the kids' than I am and I've never been cool in my life!

Joloyon Maugham managed to shut down the author of this most useful blog, that catalogued the continuing legal failures of the GLP. It is true that the author made a very unpleasant remark about Maugham. But he apologised sincerely and removed all his blog posts. Maugham still announced with glee that he would set out to ruin him.

@FeministRoar labourpainsblog.com/2025/05/06/dif… Jo Maugham is an Angry Dad. “Time will tell whether Angry Dad has allowed his personal/family prejudices to interfere with his legal judgment …”

@SomeCallMeLaz @SVPhillimore He's definitely a Gen Xer but 1971 puts him closer in age to the youngest Boomers than the younger Gen Xers or Xennials like you. He would hate for that to be pointed out, I'm sure, as he does love to think he's 'down with the kids' 😂

We’re blocked, so can’t link, but Steph Richards, who is male, is starting a legal challenge to the Labour policy of restricting part of its women’s conference to women members, in light of the legal clarification from the Supreme Court a year ago. He says it’s discriminatory. There are multiple claimed grounds, including that he was a women’s officer within the party for three years, and that he has been castrated. Apologies for being unable to link to the story. You can see his handle in the screenshot and find it there.

I don't care who you are but if you can write a sentence like: "f@ck women with a splintery rolling pin" then you are a danger to society. The fact this Aida person then tagged The Good Law Project is NOT a good look for them.

@SVPhillimore @peskywoman Also important to note that Bash Back have released what I considered to be the equivalent of a terror manual that instructs individuals on how to target people of influence, including elected members of our Parliaments & Assemblies, including how to do so “tooled up.”

I'm watching this: it's very good. Ofc, I agree with (my pals) @DerryBanShee and @FondofBeetles. The discussion of female disadvantage is ethically important. It's interesting, slightly disconcerting (on CAIS), food for thought. youtube.com/watch?v=d5JBYq…

@UrghWeirdWorld All the events referred to in his posts took place in May 2024. We presume the alleged overdose is late May/early June. He is posting about it in July, August and September.

@GrumpyOW If he attempted suicide in July but something upsets them in August and September, that does not suddenly become the reason they attempted it to begin with. That makes it seem like they are using a suicide attempt as a weapon when it's needed.

Some questions for you: (Given that Molly has confirmed being 'Kate', I'm not sure why you've redacted the name) If Phillimore's 'harassment' was what led to SM attempting su*cide in 2024 (as claimed by Jolyon Maugham), why did SM post publicly about this attempt, citing as a cause: 1. JKR 2. Scottish Greens 3. The Scotsman but never blaming SP for this attempt (despite other posts about her)? And why did SM not mention this attempt in the initial complaint to the BSB? Before asking for more money from your supporters - how confident are you about your defamation defence?

Barrister Sarah Phillimore repeatedly deadnamed and misgendered a trans woman online. Her regulator has rejected our complaint – but we won’t be giving up: goodlawproject.org/bar-standards-…

@FaringForwards @GrumpyOW @SVPhillimore This is such a serious allegation to make that it is hard to believe that the Good Law Project and the lawyers they instructed did not test it scrupulously and dispassionately before supporting this complaint to the BSB. But this witness statement looks very thin and speculative

I am surprised to report that I don't even get a mention in this July 2024 article setting out the online hostility suffered by Mr Weddell. The focus is on JKR and @Glinner. Which seems a little odd if I was a direct causal link to his attempted suicide. I am sure we can clear it all up in cross examination. This is such a good point about who is made invisible when males are allowed to be classified as "women". In this case it is the women from developing countries whose rightful places on their national teams were taken by male athletes with DSDs.
Cathy Devine@cathydevine56

'This policy will disproportionately impact women from the global South.' Yes it will. Female athletes from the global South will now be able to represent their countries on the world stage. Instead of losing their careers to athletes with male DSDs. time.com/article/2026/0…
