I have been remiss in not giving the great psychologist / professor Jordan B Peterson some credit here, b/c I think he's the one who helped me clarify this concept a number of years ago. As I recall, the Canadian gov't had passed some DEI-type speech laws, including the forced usage of pronouns and such, and Peterson refused to comply. I think he was charged, fired, fined and forced to take "remedial classes" (a.k.a. leftist indoctrination camp) to keep his psychology license. Oh, and Bret Weinstein too, of Evergreen College professor fame. Interesting story of hardcore-DEI persecution on him too, and I think I saw him on an episode of Joe Rogan going through it, and an article or two where he describes what happened to him. AND he is (or was) a LIBERAL! And I just re-read that Peterson considers himself a "classic" liberal, which is what our Democrats USED TO BE before the radical Marxists / Islamists took over. The Radical Left HATES it when one of their own tries to escape the plantation... dissent cannot be tolerated.
