Angelica is going to Istanbul! I'm splurging a little for the non-stop flights from Taipei to Istanbul but I feel like I can justify it because...um the flights would have been thru Dubai and I didn't want the extra excitement. Very different from the unmanagably shaggy Chinese history...but it's also surprising how the same themes and tropes come up. Of course...it's not just for the history I'm going for. I'm also going to be checking out Türkiye's magnificent foods! There will be a lot of elite kebabs in my future. And I hear Ottoman-core recreated palace foods is now a thing. And of course, let's not forget...the cats! But wait! There's more!
