Paramnésico by @Desilence_ For paramnesia, memory becomes unreliable, and the distinction between lived experience and imagined events dissolves: a dream may possess the density and conviction of reality, while an actual event can be distorted to create a false memory ⬇️

Rather than narrating specific dreams or events, the works examine the mechanisms through which the subconscious edits, suppresses, and transforms experiences until they become internally coherent, regardless of their origin.

The exhibition Paramnésico operates within this unstable terrain of recollection. Here, memory does not function as a structured archive, but as reconstruction — an active, ongoing process of substituting reality with the unreal.

In a culture where time is treated as a resource and coffee as fuel for productivity, @yatreda turns to the Ethiopian coffee ceremony to slow down and be present. The Coffee You Drink While Running Will Disappear unfolds as a living score of movement, sound and scent.

Available at the gallery: On NFTs. Recognised as the first major historical survey of the NFT art ecosystem — from algorithmic art to avatars and AI — the book brings together 10 academic essays and profiles of 111 artists, including a profile of @Yatreda, written by @SamSpratt.

Gm with my “Preserved Beauty” series on show in Miami at @JayaramLaw as part of the @LoadGallery BODYSCAPES exhibition 🖤🥀 Using plastic wrapping, pickling, and methods of conservation as metaphors, the series explores how attempts to hold onto natural beauty can distort it, leaving the subject faded, estranged, and at times unsettling. ↓

Yatreda @yatreda is renown for their signature black-and-white motion portraits, where figures move only slightly as if a photograph came to life, that are grounded in meticulous research and infused with tizita, a profound sense of nostalgia central to Ethiopian cultural memory.

𝗬𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗮 ያጥሬዳ ። 2025 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 2025 was such a big year for Yatreda, and we owe it all to those beautiful people along the way.
Everything really kept accelerating towards the last few months of the year, and saw our family traveling to many countries and debuting many new artworks with both established institutions and some new passionate friends. ⚪ Coldplay: Just as 2025 began, it was sweet for our Adam and Hewan series to be featured in the new Coldplay music video. ⚪ United Nations HQ: In New York City, we exhibited Sister Therapy with @ArtRepublicGlb alongside many great artists. ⚪ LACMA and Cactoid Labs: Invited by @LadyCactoid to respond to an art piece in the @LACMA collection, we were inspired to create The True Cross. Each artwork in the series was released in two editions. One with a collector, and one, a Museum Proof, preserved within LACMA’s permanent collection. I want to thank @WAPSHOP_ETH and @batsoupyum for being the stewards alongside the museum, as well as very supportive true friends to my family. It was also dream come true to fly to Los Angeles and sit down for an interview with LACMA curator Dhyandra Lawson. ⚪ Paris Photo: My good friend @miminguyenmimi and I developed an idea to bring a motion experience to Paris Photo, where the audience are more used to still prints. We presented KIBIR ክብር, a selection of artworks about bringing the glory of the past into the future. All the selections had very subtle movements, and kept the artwork in its digitally native format. Thank you @nguyenwahed for fully understanding this vision, it was a really beautiful journey to work alongside you. ⚪ Loop Fair Barcelona: Together with @LoadGallery, we submitted "The coffee you drink while running will disappear" to Loop Fair. It is known for its focus on video art and its very selective approach to choosing artworks for the festival. We can say Load Gallery has a beautiful gallery space of their own, and beautiful screens to display artworks in the massive scale we always dreamed. So to fully hold this opportunity in our hand, we decided to also host a coffee ceremony immersive experience within an exhibition. We are thankful for the gallery's young energy and eagerness to do things big. The show is still up now! ⚪ Art Basel Miami: Just as we were finishing in Spain, Zero 10 was beginning in America. But we had a big plan already in motion with @AspreyStudio. From our first phone call with @alastairwalker, we were saying 'wow' about his passion for something we consider very sacred in Ethiopia, the akodama. Together, we created the Twenty-First Century Akodama, an artwork about self-sacrifice, which merges a silver sculpture of a male crown with the digital soul of the one who wears it. All the artworks sold out on the first day and out of 5 editions, 4 were placed with more traditional collectors, and 1 is a special person we all know in our community. His name is @beeple. Beeple was the clear, undeniable superstar of Zero 10, but behind the scenes he is known for always supporting everyone around him. During Art Basel Miami, I was also fortunate to participate in a discussion organized by LACMA Digital Leaders @collectionist, @jeannievu, which had speakers @ReginaHarsanyi, @auriea, @mayaonthenet. I also participated in another panel hosted by @jenifulton with @jackbutcher and @mayaonthenet. I'm very happy for my friends @redbeardnft and @eli_schein on their big success in bringing Zero 10 to the world and to see them receive the love they deserve for this. Thank you for including Yatreda alongside so many respected artists and gallerists. ⚪ Inspiration: There were many big inspirations to Yatreda this year. Participating in @SamSpratt's Masquerade helped me open my heart and share something deep and personal on top of that big painting. To participate digitally but also to see the big physical light box in the Toledo Museum with @MrsRachelSpratt, @sophie_ong and all our little families together is something I will never forget.
