CryptoPunks, welcome to the @MuseumModernArt collection! Punk 4018, Punk 2786, Punk 5616, Punk 5160, Punk 3407, Punk 7178, Punk 74, and Punk 7899 have found a permanent home at MoMA, where they’ll be preserved and cared for as part of the museum’s history. The collective generosity behind this gift highlights the strength and spirit of the Punk’s community whom has carried the project forward. The new MoMA director, Christophe Cherix, just named the CryptoPunks book one of his Top 10 of 2025: “It took an 836-page, traditionally printed book to lift the CryptoPunks out of the speculative realm and reframe them within art history. Astutely conceived…CryptoPunks makes a compelling case: When Matt Hall and John Watkinson released their pixelated figures in the form of non-fungible tokens onto Ethereum, they weren’t merely minting images but breaching the boundaries of the art world and advancing a new set of collective values.” This designation come on the heels of @AIGAdesign also naming the book one of the Top 50 books of 2025.

📸TOMORROW📸 VIP opening of Paris Photo 2025 I’ve been going to the fair since 2016 as a visitor, it’s 2h train from London so there’s no excuse and it wouldn’t cross my mind that one day I’ll be showing as exhibitor 3rd time in a row. I’m so excited to be sharing this with @yatreda - couldn’t image a different solo presentation at Nguyen Wahed. If there ANY way we convert more people into digital art is not by showing them weird obscure stuff but works that resonate best to them and I really hope that the fair goers of the biggest photographic art fair will enjoy discovering Yatredas practice.
