Breach Candy Residents Forum (BCRF) is a community-driven initiative dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in our neighbourhood. D Ward, Mumbai South.

Mumbai doesn’t need fancy gardens on it's largest reclaimed land. Mumbai Coastal Road needs a dense native forest. Because the reality is stark: Mumbai is still breathing beyond safe air limits. @mybmc @CMOMaharashtra @Dev_Fadnavis @PMOIndia @AshwiniBhide timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/mumbai/to…

89.01 dB inside the car. That’s what we recorded on Mumbai’s melody road a harsh sound that irritates drivers and disturbs the surrounding neighbourhood. Kudos to the residents of Breach Candy for taking action. Big thanks to #BMC for barricading it. Barricading it is a start. Removing it permanently should be the end.

Thats super @milinddeora - totally agree Now all we need to do is STOP - the”Jai Ho” playback on the coastal road that is driving everyone living at breach candy - NUTS - as its 24/7 with every passing car 🤷♂️

Good to see @PMCPune taking concrete steps to repair and upgrade footpaths across the city. 👏 Last November, I wrote about how well-designed, continuous pavements can transform urban life, often faster and at far lower cost than big-ticket projects. Footpaths aren’t add-ons to roads. They are the most democratic layer of a city. They mean safer streets, walkable neighbourhoods, healthier citizens, and more vibrant local businesses. A town planning policy of ‘Footpaths First, essentially puts ‘People First’.
