I will defend wage theft. It is the evasion of government regulations. On the margin, it prevents disemployment due to minimum wage laws. At the very least, its welfare effect is unclear.

You do not earn a billion dollars. You steal it. Nobody works a billion times harder than a nurse, a teacher, or a farmer. That money comes from underpaying the people who actually did the work. Stop worshipping hoarders who are just really good at wage theft.

No, this is the incorrect myth believed by many.
The price increase is due to the increase in mortgage lending multiples and terms, giving buyers bigger budgets to compete with. Without that extended lending prices wouldn’t have increased so much. There’s no housing shortage.

@TrueSlazac Two sentences are not contradictory. AI companies are not cash flow positive, inference is helluva expensive while the hype is still on. aI crash will not make them disappear completely, it's just a lot of these AI startups will go bellyup (especially API wrappers)

Yeah people. Why would you want to take a self driving car from door to door in luxury and privacy when you too could walk 10 minutes to a bus stop, wait 20 minutes in the cold, possibly get mugged /sexually harassed / stabbed, then get dropped off a mile from your destination.
