Varthur air is full of stubble/leaves burning fumes. I don't understand why nobody is talking about the dangerous level of air pollution here @RisingVarthur

Bengaluru is (I think) the largest city in the world that abuts a forest with wildlife - Bannerghatta connects to the North Cauvery reserve and from there to large swathes of the southern ghats. If we can live next door to the wildlife and also pay attention to their habitat, that's something to celebrate.

Varthur lake once filled with Froth and weed. Now turned into one of the biggest and best lakes of Bengaluru. BDA has completed Rejuvenation work and will hand over the Lake to East corporation soon. Post that we can expect some development around the lake for walk path and open gym etc.

It is becoming increasingly clear to the scientific community that hours lost in traffic congestion, air pollution, road rage, are becoming a serious public health issue. I feel the original owners themselves could have sold the land to such buyers. BDA can charge a betterment fee for improvements in the area. Everyone will participate in such schemes without opposition. You know what's happening in PRR. It's because of this history of BDA. Please don't use words like 'enemy state'.

GBA invites companies to steer their CSR towards city civic projects. It's now quite common for every department to think that CSR should come to it, but by and large this does not happen. Also, in this case, the risk to corporate image can be high, if they sign up to do public projects with GBA without the involvement of local citizens. A better way to do this would be to invite projects that are jointly proposed by citizens groups and companies.
