Mamdani: AIPAC, for whom the only thing more frightening than democracy being allowed to run its course is an end to genocide in Netanyahu's wars.

The mayor of the city with the world’s largest Jewish population is pushing conspiracy theories about “money men” who “move millions in dark money” to “turn us against one another” — and calling them “monsters.” Subtle.

Happy Parade Day! It feels so wonderful to savor this moment of euphoric victory with Marek & Rosa as we celebrate the Knicks today. A glorious time to be a resident of the greatest city in the world. Now it’s time to get ready for our rally tonight at Kings Theatre with @BernieSanders and @ZohranKMamdani. Hope to see you there!

If she wins, she will need to be a representative for *all* of her constituents, not just the ones that voted for her. That includes people who disagree with her. Yes, even on Israel. This is really basic stuff.

Yesterday, candidate Darializa Avila Chevalier told the debate audience in NYC that Gaza is “visually similar” to her district. Today, Sally Rooney told an audience in Europe that “the liberation of Palestine represents the liberation of the world.“ It’s pretty obvious this movement has nothing to do with helping Palestinians, as it only sees their issues as a metaphor for their own.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani gave Charles Oakley his flowers in front of James Dolan, and the Knicks owner followed with a message of his own 😳

BREAKING: United Auto Workers today passed a resolution at its convention, 321-287, to divest from Israeli bonds. With nearly 400,000 members, UAW becomes the largest US union to officially divest from Israel. The vote received support from a range of sectors, including a large number of Michigan auto delegates, in addition to legal services and higher education. The original call for divestment came from a wildcat strike of 2,000 mainly Arab American workers at Chrysler’s Dodge Main in 1973. Amid the genocide in Gaza, pro-Palestinian labor groups and UAW locals renewed and intensified their campaign. Speakers motivated for the resolution by citing the union’s legacy of divesting from South African apartheid in 1978.

“Fuck him” someone in the audience shouts when @ZohranKMamdani references Bibi’s “war crimes” at this rally for @claireforny @bradlander @DarializaforNY. The crowd here is (not surprisingly) very animated over Israel and pleased with Mamdani’s emphasis on it.
