I am seriously considering filing a formal complaint with the South African Human Rights Commission against the Iranian Embassy in South Africa for their posting of a disgusting, hateful image depicting Jewish people as rats. This is Nazi-era dehumanisation imagery. This is what our Constitution was built to protect against. If any embassy depicted any other race or religious group as vermin, there would be uproar. How was this allowed? It is not okay @DIRCO_ZA

INTERNATIONAL RULING AGAINST SOUTH AFRICA IN THE BOEREMAG CASE The International Commission of Jurists for Human Rights in Geneva has found that South Africa, as well as the trial court, violated several basic trial rights of the accused in the Boeremag case. According to the ruling, the state did not comply with international standards for a fair trial, and the Republic of South Africa is now obliged to provide redress and compensation to the applicants within 180 days. The commission further emphasizes that: - The state must provide an effective remedy to those whose rights were violated; - Steps must be taken to prevent similar violations in the future; - The ruling must be made public and widely disseminated. This decision places South Africa under international pressure to account for its handling of the Boeremag case and the protection of fundamental rights.

Building municipal capacity; We are commissioning 15 new municipal tankers, with 13 already in service and the remaining two to be deployed next month. This brings the City’s fleet to 41 municipal tankers. This forms part of a deliberate shift away from an outsourced model that proved costly and difficult to manage. By insourcing this function, we are improving response times, expanding coverage and strengthening accountability.
