Yep, it’s quite sad that most Americans do not know this is happening and, even worse, don’t care—which is blatantly evident by the other replies to my post. We can’t live in a civilized society without pain relief. As much as people claim otherwise, this will at some point affect every single person, whether it’s them or a family member. That seems to be the only thing that opens people’s eyes—once they or someone they love suffers in pain after an accident, surgery, or chronic condition. It’s quite sad.

A man in Seattle found a young man on the ground after an apparent fentanyl overdose. He administered 3 doses of Narcan and revived him. I have a lot of questions. The main one is how did the U.S. reach a point where random people carry Narcan just in case? FYI, China is the main source of fentanyl precursor chemicals, gets sent to the cartels then they synthesize the finished fentanyl and smuggle it across the US southern border. 💯💯💯That is the nail on the head. Patients with legitimate level 10 pain are not allowed to receive proper treatment from prescription drugs because the Doctors are more concerned about getting the DEA investigating them so they ignore the patient pleads for help. And the patients have no choice but to get drugs from the streets.

The BIGGER question is why hasn’t the government done anything about their draconian anti opioid policies which are the cause of this exact shit! Millions of Americans can’t get their pain treated and are going to the streets out of desperation for some relief after surgery or intractable chronic pain and they are OD-ing sometimes fatally then there are many others that are committing suicide because they can no longer deal with the suffering. This is a policy choice. The War on—especially Rx—Drugs has been an expensive and unsuccessful policy that needs to be addressed ASAP!
