I called this. 1 million people is a wild underestimate. there will be one million people packed in by 7am. They’ll be turning away people who show up before 8am rolls around.
this is a predictably historic parade and celebration, the lack of foresight from those organizing this is disappointing.
They could have extended the regular parade route, or just changed it entirely (marathon route) but instead there will be 1 million+ disappointed Knicks fans who schlepped into the city for no reason. The lack of foresight is incredibly disrespectful to all those fans.

I don’t really get Lee Kuan Yew worship beyond authoritarian bootlicking. To me, Singapore feels like the least impressive East Asian tiger. It's a prime port, it started with solid administration, and it's a city-state smaller than NYC.
Compare Japan, China, Taiwan, or ROK.
