.@TomasPhilipson in @dcexaminer is right: Japan shouldn’t get a free ride on American medical innovation. At this week’s meeting, @POTUS should hold Japan accountable and push for a NATO-style trade deal that requires our allies to pay their fair share. @StephenMoore
Stephen Moore@StephenMoore

President @realDonaldTrump, make Japan pay their fair share for U.S. drugs.  Free-riding for decades has cost American workers, innovation, and patients’ health. Must read from @TomasPhilipson: washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/448655…

These Medicare "negotiations" are just price controls that will prevent seniors from accessing the lifesaving care they need. BTW, is @AARP really fighting for fair rx prices when its billion-dollar partner @UHC is the one driving them up? @newtgingrich gingrich360.net/p/affordabilit…

Medicare has started negotiating prices for popular drugs, which is expected to save American seniors $1.5 billion this year.

US-Japan Rx pricing deal would be a win-win for both countries’ patients, workers & manufacturers. @RealDonaldTrump US-UK Rx agreement is a model to use for Japan & others wrongly benefiting from US innovation at American patients’ & workers’ expense. @kerpen washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/448655…

My @MFPatient colleague Tomas Philipson is absolutely correct. This should be a top priority. Japan agreeing to spend more on innovative US brand medicines would b a huge win-win, build momentum from the UK deal, and pressure the EU.

Be nice if @AARPVA visibly took on big health insurers over skyrocketing premiums, deductibles & copays - you know, seniors #1 cost concern - but they don’t. Meanwhile, AARP recently got paid $9 billion via insurer UnitedHealth (now under DOJ investigation). Imagine that! @kerpen

Legislation that will give all Virginians the same discounts on drug prices now available to people on Medicare is on its way to Gov. Abigail Spanberger after being passed by both the Virginia Senate and House of Delegates with strong bipartisan support. spr.ly/6019B6KZrB

UnitedHealth, who paid AARP $9 billion dollars, must be proud! Hmm, anyone wonder why @AARPVA isn’t pushing for an insurance affordability board? Or, why isn’t AARP demanding Rx discounts go directly to patients vs. letting insurers like AARP $ partner @UHC decide? Fishy! @kerpen

An updated version of The Affordable Medicine Act passed the House of Delegates today by an overwhelming 95-4 vote! This measure will give all Virginians the same discounts on drug prices now available to people on Medicare. spr.ly/6017B6GjuF

AARP continues to double down on Medicare drug price “negotiations,” but price controls won’t lower costs for seniors. So @AARP — why the applause? Could their partnership with @UHC, have something to do with it? Makes us wonder, @AARPadvocates for who again?

New findings: Medicare Advantage overpayments increased Part B premiums by $13.4B in 2025—costing the average senior about $200 more per year. Insurers like @UHC are gaming the system while seniors pay the price. Read more👇wsj.com/health/healthc…

Opaque billing practices by insurers in Medicare Advantage drove up seniors’ Medicare Part B premiums & added billions in health care costs in 2025, according to @JECRepublicans. Seniors shouldn’t be footing the bill for big insurers prioritizing profits. wsj.com/health/healthc…

Drug prices shouldn’t be a guessing game. New analysis from @PtRightsAdvoc shows the same drug can have dozens of prices at the same hospital on the same day. Opaque pricing and backroom deals leave patients in the dark. Seniors deserve transparency. axios.com/2026/03/05/dis…

AARP should sit this one out after getting paid $9 BILLION via insurer-PBM giant UnitedHealth and being largely silent as PBM reform was previously debated & quietly scuttled. See any AARP grassroots campaigns or ads then? Big no! So phony. @WSJopinion @DutchRojas @mcuban

At the SOTU, @POTUS rightly called out how big insurers have pocketed billions in profits while seniors face higher premiums and soaring out-of-pocket costs. Congress must build on that momentum with more patient-first reforms that ensure transparency. washingtonpost.com/wp-intelligenc…

Tackling big insurers is crucial for lowering U.S. health care costs, as @POTUS admirably mentioned during the SOTU. However, codifying an MFN drug pricing model would be devastating for seniors, as it threatens innovation for the treatments they rely on. atr.org/wp-content/upl…
