@imidaily Can you sue anyone over it? Surely you can take an authority to court? The contract allows them to change terms like that ?

🇵🇹Portugal in 2021: "Invest EUR 500k, naturalize in 5 years" 🇵🇹 in 2025: "We took 4 years to process your application. We put golden visa investors at the back of the line for ideological reasons. But don't worry, we'll count your wait time toward your naturalization timeline." 🇵🇹 in 2026: "We changed the law, so now you'll only be eligible for naturalization in 2035, and the time spent waiting won't count after all. Oh, and the processing time for naturalization is itself another 3 years. So you can look forward to a Portuguese passport in 2038, 17 years after you invested. Unless, of course, we change something else by then. Anyway, thanks for the half a million euros."

well thats fucking it - anthropic has officially replaced software engineers. claude is now a 24 hr autonomous coding agent. claude can now operate your entire computer and CLAUDE CODE = end-to-end software engineering: - claude writes the code for you - then literally opens the app it coded - clicks through the entire app and find bugs - then fixes the bugs and improves the app in hours. previously claude generated code, you run it and give claude feedback. thats completely gone now. all in a continuous loop without leaving your terminal 😂 we're barely through monday. well done lol
Claude@claudeai

Computer use is now in Claude Code. Claude can open your apps, click through your UI, and test what it built, right from the CLI. Now in research preview on Pro and Max plans.

@paulearnden @trikcode Now you're just contradicting yourself "non-developers are becoming shit hot developers and people are cranking out 10x volume at 5x quality" Why do you need "multiple people in development roles who have been C#/ .NET developers for 5-10 years." if non-devs can do it 10x?

Not baiting at all, I employ multiple people in development roles who have been C# / .NET developers for 5-10 years. They’re fully embracing Claude code and using the efficiency gain to further build internal IP, internal products and process improvements. We’re delivering more than before.

Software engineers are the happiest people on Earth now. They pay $100/month for Claude Code to do the work. Their employer pays them $10,000/month for the results. $9,900 profit for sipping coffee and talking to AI. The funniest part? Not a single dev with a full-time job will ever admit this publicly What a time to be alive.

@paulearnden @trikcode Dude, no they aren't. Don't mix a shitty SaaS made by an X influencer with enterprise grade solutions that need to scale. We're not there yet, you're the one baiting!

I know this is bait but times are changing, employers know, non-developers are becoming shit hot developers and people are cranking out 10x volume at 5x quality, with little error, little rework. The barrier to enter to “being a dev” has gone. The best developers will quickly become product managers and orchestrate their agents across tens and tens of projects, driving margin up and being transparent about that.

@bcherny @dedene Does this mean per iteration of the PR? What sort of cost do you typically see if you run it again after fixing minor issues in a PR? Does it used cached inputs and save cost, or is that another 15-25 USD?

New in Claude Code: Code Review. A team of agents runs a deep review on every PR. We built it for ourselves first. Code output per Anthropic engineer is up 200% this year and reviews were the bottleneck Personally, I’ve been using it for a few weeks and have found it catches many real bugs that I would not have noticed otherwise

@NoContextHumans @fix_dan @ThunderAuraX Ok so you don’t live in the US which means you really have no idea what you’re talking about here. You can not like the system in this country but it is the system we all live in and it only works if people tip appropriately. It’s really not funny. It’s that persons livelihood.

@Remounter @Rajatsoni @MichaelAArouet Who decides the threshold of that freedom? You guys are the country that prosecuted the most people for things said on social media. A woman even got arrested because she recited a song with the N word in it. It's dystopian!

An important ideological component to this: Our own recent survey data indicate that Americans who believe the government has a "moral responsibility" to provide "a comfortable life for all immigrants" are ~3.5x more likely to support damaging property while protesting and ~2.5x more likely to agree that violence is necessary for social change.

@romeu @levelsio @henriquepreze You guys have such an internalized hate for Trump that you add him to everything. Why mix a very corrupt EU leader with Trump in a way to minimize Costa's corrupt behavior? That's a strange train of thought

Because the EU is a good thing if it'd be democratic The US is also a federal union of states and seems to work fine Europe is much better if it's not fragmented in lots of separate countries There's little difference between me a Dutch person or German or Spanish in modern identity, we should keep our traditions though, just like Texas has its traditions while having a federal union called the United States of America But right now the European Union obviously does NOT function and is NOT democratic, because it's been taken over by an unelected authoritarian group of career politician cronies called the European Commission They stole the power from the people and we have to reform the EU to take it back Long term a federal European union of states is preferable Especially if you want to compete with China

Revolut is one of the few European companies that actually just really great and impressive Many of the others ones being pumped are pumped by Europeans because they're European but inferior to US products Revolut is on-par or superior to US fintechs by now
Seb Johnson@SebJohnsonUK

Without a doubt @Revolut is Europe's best shot at a $1tn dollar company. In 10 years it's achieved: > $75bn valuation > $1bn profit > 65m users It's backed by @balderton, @IndexVentures, @lakestarvc and many other great European firms. I made this video to celebrate the success the company has seen, and its MONUMENTAL level of ambition. It's the first video I've made like this. Let me know what you think.

@SteLKNX @ExploreCosmos_ What's really interesting is how all of a sudden there are multiple objects being detected in the wake of 3I.

The object known as 3I/ATLAS, the third confirmed interstellar visitor to our Solar System, appears to have undergone a subtle but telling transformation following its closest approach to the Sun. While briefly hidden from view behind the Sun, it was monitored by spacecraft near Mars, and when it emerged, astronomers observed that its trajectory has shifted in a way that cannot be explained by gravity alone: the object shows non-gravitational acceleration both radially and tangentially relative to the Sun. The most plausible explanation is that 3I/ATLAS has been losing mass via outgassing, volatiles liberated by solar heating exert a thrust that nudges its path. Based on the measured accelerations, the mass loss could amount to about 13 percent (or more) of the body’s total mass, assuming a typical gas-ejection speed near perihelion. Concurrently, the object brightened significantly, by a factor of about five in the green band, which supports the idea that volatile release or fragmentation is ongoing. Though such behavior is not unheard of for comets, 3I/ATLAS nevertheless remains unusual: it shares comet-like activity while originating from outside our Solar System, and its composition and behaviour may inform us about conditions in another part of the galaxy. These fresh observations highlight just how much we still don’t know about interstellar objects. 👉 ssd.jpl.nasa.gov/tools/sbdb_loo…
