@DustinSJenkins @subq I’m sure you can think of verses, but none of them will actually support the “no freedom, no sin” claim. And no, I’m not a compatibilist, as that view isn’t found in Scripture any more than the original assertion is.

Prince of princes (8:25) who is evidently the "Messiah the Prince" (9:25). Antiochus didn't stand up against Jesus as he lived 2 centuries before Jesus. 5. The effect of the Messiah's work is connected with the abomination of desolation, which is connected with the little horn.

No, you're wrong. I can name three problems with the Rome/Fourth Beast tradition.
1) Who conquered Alexander's Empire?
2) The origin of the little horn.
3) The fourth beast conquers the other three.

The scholars are all wrong. 1. "The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces." — Dan 7:23. This hardly describes the Seleucid Greeks.

You can make any theological framework *work* if you prioritize this verse over that one.
I mean.
Even a case could be made for universal salvation after God’s justice/righteousness purifies every lost person in proportionate hell.
But you have to hold so much in imbalance.

@JesusDied4UToo It wouldn’t be out of character for God to be more merciful than we expect (His ways are higher than our ways, the actual context of that passage) but scripture would need to be understood in a quite non-traditional sense.

@DustinSJenkins Especially if the warnings are more about millennium kingdom reign and roles with torment being a crystal clear refining fire for all of humanity. I don’t know. I would not evangelize with that, but it does make so many of us wonder. 2 or 3 ways this could all work out… 3/3

I was just telling you that Hebrews says under the law there is no forgiveness without the shedding of blood (not a universal truth, see lev 5:11-13)
