Belated life update: I’m back in the Solana ecosystem as Head of Marketing at @BitRobotNetwork. If you saw robots fighting at Breakpoint — that was us. It was our Trojan horse to drive curiosity about robotics. At BitRobot, we’re building the world's open robotics lab. We partner with researchers and robotics labs to collect the right data, test robots in the real world, and improve their models faster by coordinating contributors, hardware, and compute across a global network. Building this onchain allows us to track who did what and reward contributors, like Scale AI, but built specifically for robots. Solana is also where DePIN trailblazers like Helium, Render, Hivemapper, and GEODNET took root, and where DePIN robotics (or DePAI) naturally belongs. Since joining in August, it has been a privilege to work with @amanda0x @jnthnvctr @micoolcho and learn how crypto can meaningfully impact robotics’ biggest bottleneck: data. In the last few months, we’ve: - shown up and keynoted at @corl_conf, the largest robotics learning conference - announced a $5M Grand Challenges Fund to support open-source, moonshot embodied AI models - launched Subnet 5 with @virtuals_io, collecting 1M+ household tasks to train robots via the SeeSaw iOS app - partnered with @huggingface to open-source the Earth Rovers platform from @frodobots - and pulled off the first global robot cage fight in the UAE with @UFBots at @SolanaConf NFTs → DeFi → robotics wasn’t on my career bingo card, but it feels right to build again on Solana, this time in DePIN and working on something that can radically transform industries. If anyone is interested in being robot-pilled or collabing on building open robotics R&D, let's chat!

Subnet 8 is out of stealth. Now, anyone with a computer can help train robots in simulation! We're building on RoboPlayground: a dynamic, language-driven eval system for embodied AI developed by @UW + @allen_ai researchers. BitRobot extends it with community-sourced teleop-in-sim and expert demos: hyperscaling high-quality sim-to-real data for robotics R&D. Early days. Very excited.

Physical AI is going to be the biggest industry in the world within 10-20 years, and is going to need the internet to grow in three new dimensions: - the internet of spaces - the internet of sensors - the internet of actuators There will be many technical, cultural and economical challenges and opportunities on the way, and the best parts of web3 have enormous contributions to make - if it can survive the worst parts of web3. There’s a rich technical and philosophical foundation to build from, which is great, but we also have to deal with the toxic cultural legacy of the web3 industry. Even though enormous amounts of web3 money have poured into (web2) robotics, the industry is skeptical and dismissive of what web3 can bring to the table, and worried of being associated with the scams, rugs and predatory financial nihilism that stained the movement’s reputation over the last few years. Unfortunately, the loudest voices remaining in the web3 community are talking about price action rather than how to actually win. This includes you, OP. If a robotics company comes across your original post, there’d be very little reason for them to curiously investigate what projects like @Auki, @GEODNET or @BitRobotNetwork actually bring to the table - because you’ve signalled that the story is the token PA, not the technology, traction and trajectory. I am a super firm believer that web3 will color the world of physical AI immensely - but it will do so in spite of posts like this. Being cringe and shilling is worse than FUD. Cashtags are associated with insincere, misguided and predatory projects. Talk about the tech. We aren’t suffering from FUD, we are suffering from a community that has alienated the rest of the market.

i genuinely feel that eastworlds is a great initiative but i dont think getting them to launch a token and go all hands on deck to meet the graduation requirements ($5M FDV for 7D + team vetting) makes plenty of sense? the north star of robotics companies should be to get their robots to perform the necessary and then produce commercial fleets aka data + financing many of these robotics team are not even crypto-native and they are still required to convince a community that what they are doing is world-changing and shill their token to retail users that mainly care about degen returns rather than what these robots can and will actually achieve? (lets not forget whales and institutions that enjoy the good ol' cabal pump and dump) tokens that were launched during the openclaw/moltbook hype were characterized as memes and couldnt even sustain their valuations for more than 3 days (e.g. $CLAWNCH, $CLAWD) even highly anticipated launches like @FabricFND/@openmind_agi ($ROBO) suffer from brutal PA due to current market behaviour towards public sales/ICOs, let alone non crypto-native teams? however, i do think og projects such as @codecopenflow @Auki @homebrewrobots will stand to benefit from eastworlds given how they have been battle-tested and are still building strong

You can change a lot in 12 months. In March of last year, within 2 weeks I… > Left a job I loved after 3 years > Started a company > Ended a 5-year relationship Then… > Turned 25 > Raised $10M > Traveled to every continent > Built strong relationships > Put together a kickass team > Launched our product You can start over at any moment. Might as well start now.

robotics data for physical AI is front and center this year. from gtc's heavy focus on data infrastructure to human data ecosystems like egoverse, the field is waking up to the bottleneck of scaling robotics data. and there's real divergence in how people think about quantity, quality, modality, and diversity. @aurorafeng_01, @deeptt and i have been looking at the data infra landscape and put together a market map + open data vendor/collector list 👇

I spent the past week @NVIDIAGTC talking to robotics builders, investors, and researchers. And checking out 100+ robots around the venue. While the growing number of robotics data collection providers has become a meme, one thing is clear: robotics is still real-world data starved. 1) Learning from humans is now core to the data pyramid. In the "Humanoid Robots at Scale" panel, @chelseabfinn @aelluswamy @pathak2206 highlighted the value of human video for pre-training. Across teams, egocentric video and UMI/glove data came up repeatedly as key inputs. 2) Real-world deployment data is the gold standard. But, we’re early. 2026 will be the year of enterprise pilots and home robot betas. Jensen Huang said the ChatGPT moment for autonomous vehicles has arrived. This is after decades and billions of real-world miles. At GTC, the robot demos still break. 3) Deployment strategy is one of the hardest open questions. Homes → lower willingness to pay, higher safety constraints, more general-purpose systems. Commercial → higher willingness to pay, narrower tasks, often solvable with arms or quadrupeds before full humanoids. 4) The natural next step: robotics data companies facilitate labor. Over time, the most valuable data won’t be collected directly. It will be generated as a byproduct of real-world robotic labor, with models continuously evaluated in deployment. This is the path we’re building toward @BitRobotNetwork.

Haptic built a bot that scraped every @RoboPapers episode that our founder @micoolcho co-hosts with @chris_j_paxton @DJiafei and the top physical AI research pain point that came up? Scalable robot data collection. It's still slow, expensive, and hard to scale. That's exactly what @BitRobot is built to solve. Required reading 👇
anand iyer@ai

Haptic scraped all 64 episodes of @RoboPapers (@chris_j_paxton + @micoolcho) and ranked every pain point in physical AI research. The top 10, by mention frequency: 1. Scalable data collection 2. Generalization / zero-shot robustness 3. Dexterous manipulation 4. Teleoperation / whole-body data 5. Sim-to-real transfer 6. Evaluation / benchmarking 7. VLAs / foundation models for control 8. Human video to robot transfer 9. Long-horizon memory 10. RL scaling / offline-to-online Code keeps getting cheaper. Atoms stay expensive. That's the entire startup opportunity in physical AI right now. hapticlabs.ai/blog/2026/03/0…

these projects don’t recognize their early supporters anymore you spend months posting & contributing only to get sidelined then someone with little or no contribution gets ahead just because they have 5k+ followers they prefer to chase vanity numbers, noise over value you bring into the project saw it happen with openmind, now again with bitrobot
jonze.@jonze100

after weeks of posting bout @BitRobotNetwork and top 4 on the telearms leaderboard i still didn’t get selected as an ambassador probably cos i don’t have 5k followers onto the next !

Every day, the internet feels less human. AI, bots, and deepfakes are making it harder to know who or what is real. @VeryAI was born to solve that. Today, I’m excited to share that we’ve raised $10M to build the first Proof of Reality for the new internet. ↓
