@MalCan4401 @SawyerMerritt It sucks. I wish i wasn't so rich. I have much more duty and responsibility because of my wealth. I can't just enjoy my life on the beach and pretend like certain things are out of my control. I am using my time and wealth for good but at the expense of my joy and sanity.

NEWS: Elon Musk’s lawyer Alex Spiro is accusing a San Francisco federal jury of “mocking” Elon by including “$4.20” in a different ink color as part of its recommended damages in a class-action lawsuit. “The jury’s emphasis on the $4.20 number, which had no significance to its damages determination, but appears to be a mocking reference to a number previously associated with Mr. Musk, shows that the verdict was a mockery of justice: a commentary not on whether Mr. Musk committed securities fraud (he did not) but on the jury’s views about Mr. Musk himself. Spiro wrote. “No reasonable and experienced person could have any faith in the fairness of this proceeding or its resulting verdict,” he concluded.

@Roderyck10 @JoshMandell6 Maybe he's not salty. Maybe he knows he's selling bullshit and doesn't want smart people in his comments pointing out his failures. Kind of like how scammers intentionally make the emails bad to filter out the people smart enough to not fall for their scams.

his purchases no longer reflect a successful sales pitch to no-coiners. he's essentially just convincing existing Bitcoin holders to swap into common stock and dividend paying shares of a bitcoin holding co Orange dots don't represent new demand like his previous orange pill crusade. If only he could orange pill the orange president!
Freedom Memes@FreedomMemesIRL

Hot take: If Strategy stacks 2.1 million BTC and Bitcoin still isn’t anywhere near $10M-$50M a coin like Saylor predicted, I’m gonna be depressed. That’s 10% of the entire supply. Scarcity should be undeniable. Price should reflect it.

@linderps Yes you do. It's not fair to the woman if you're working 80 or more hours per week. And yes many people do suddenly become successful (or hit a threshold) and you can instantly find a wife.

tech bros love to think that it’s healthy to sacrifice relationships for work “locking in”, 996, and putting relationships on hold for later but remember, you don’t just become successful and suddenly have a wife / husband if you keep choosing work over people you might wake up one day rich, successful, everything you wanted but no one to share it with

The Lost City was released 4 years ago. Brad Pitt agreed to the cameo as a favor to Sandra Bullock after she appeared in Bullet Train. His short role ended up stealing the film’s biggest laughs despite limited screen time.

@lucaspcdias I've never met anyone in the US suffering from malnutricion. Either it's a lie. Or maybe junkies? If it's junkies then it is a case of by product of wealth. Even the poor and mentally unstable have too much.

Two German friends came to visit me in Texas over a decade ago. Naturally I took them to the Fort Worth Rodeo. They absolutely LOVED it. The only part that puzzled them was when a cowgirl galloped on horseback around the ring with a Coca Cola flag. They asked, “Isn’t this government funded?” I said “Nope”. That surprised them. They also loved the steakhouses I took them to but I could not get them to order steak properly- they always wanted well-done.

@CarlesQni @cinefiliacult By the end of your life most people get what they put in. This guy got lucky, sure, but a brilliant tireless actor would certainly not slip through the cracks. The world is desperate for people who passionately devote their lives to something that is in demand.

The Last Duel (2021) was well reviewed but only made about $30 million on a $100 million budget. Ridley Scott blamed “millennials,” saying they “don’t ever want to be taught anything unless it’s on the phone.”

@LowresWB I remember an episode of ER where the black doctor found out he was a diversity hire and it resulted in him starting to doubt his abilities as a doctor. And arguing he prevented more capable people of becoming a doctor who could have saved more lives than he did. Anyone else?

Most people don’t understand that this is how many late 20th century television series were written, especially on NBC, and to be able to point it out and make fun now is a blessing. ER was a terrific series, and fell off after almost a decade due to these types of propagandistic inserts weakening the writing. The Pitt lives in its shadow. It started at the plateau point that ER reached. I would expect scenes like this to become the dominant aspect of the show, especially if it is garnering Emmy awards for it.

You know what’s crazy? Trump actually did change my life by pausing student loan debt interest in his first term (which Biden extended) so I could beat the interest and be 1 year away from paying off $137K of student loans. He NEVER mentions this cause it doesn’t fit the narrative the fascists need. He did an OBJECTIVELY GOOD THING but because it didn’t benefit the RIGHT people it can never be done again

Question: I'm a waiter at a local restaurant in Queens, a full time college student who sleeps an average of four hours a night and is still thousands in debt. How is a war in a country half the world away funded by the taxes pulled from my check, helping me in any way?

People will count the empty seats on public transportation as an excuse to not fund it. If we counted the empty seats in cars too, then we would see a fair picture. Transit is simply more space-efficient at moving people.

Melony, if you're not hard-right yet, please just imagine that you're FARMING, not gardening, so it's 100,000x as hard, so there's cows getting sick and fungus on your wheat and stuff... ...and then a bunch of people from the other side of the planet move in next door and tell you "food should be free" and you're "privileged" for having a farm.

The British made “pusher” planes because they didn’t know the forward-firing synchronous mechanism. About 1915 a German Fokker got lost and landed at a British airstrip. The British soldiers took apart the plane and noted the synchronization gear. A British war reporter happened to be there and was excited that Britain would now have that tech. After months and seeing no word of a new British fighter, he asked around. The report on the Fokker’s gear had been stuffed into a filing cabinet &forgotten. The reporter made a stink. “Why isn’t Britain using this gear?!” At first the Air Corps generals tries to cover their failure by saying they didn’t want to violate Fokker’s patent!! But people higher than the Air Corps morons forced them to take it seriously, and in 1916 the Sopwith 1 1/2 strutter came out with forward-firing synchronous guns. Was that the last time a journalist did something worthwhile? Hard to say.
Gun Lovers Club@GunloverClub1

German engineering at its finest!! Ever wondered how WWI pilots didn’t shoot their own propellers off? Witness the genius of the synchronization gear.
