It will never bc you and most of the fan base is too fucking stupid to do any research on the subject and truly understand the mechanics of sign stealing to know what conner did was a nothing burger. Yes, he advanced scouted which should be punished w a penalty that fit the crime. Who exactly was hurt by LIV? $5b into golf ecosystem from them, $2b from private equity. Ratings higher than ever. Participation higher than ever. Fans have more interest. Players make more money. Eco system has more money. Who got hurt? LIV was the best thing to happen to golf and its going away will be bad. Product was meh, but it was necessary and brought good things to the sport I love.

We can argue till the cows come home but when it matters most, biggest games, most important moments in said games, the big ten teams are there making the plays. I did make the comment about the lower level teams but who really gives a shit. Its all about the most important moments. How much does 2nd place pay in sales. Zero.

Rules have changed, bama doesnt have the money to keep up, so they blame a very good coach who just got extended. I put this up to my nosy and it dont smell so rosy.... Enjoy the decline.

It's basically a budget issue. Alabama spent more on football than most schools during Saban's tenure and got a great return on its investment. He was ahead of the curve on things like increasing the size of his staff and looking for every advantage he could gain. That's the heart of competition. Combine superior resources and superior use of them, and you build a dynasty. Which he did.

Nick Saban to @finebaum calls for an "equilibrium" among CFB teams' spending: "One team shouldn't have a $40 million roster and another team have a $5 million roster, and they're out there playing each other. There should be some kind of -- every league, NFL, basketball, hockey -- they all have a salary cap or something that creates parity in the league so everybody has an equal opportunity to win." It should be noted that pro sports' salary caps are part of collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) between players' unions and the leagues, which if adopted in college sports would involve players as employees -- something the NCAA and conferences have resisted.
