There has been a huge drop in reported accidents with the robotaxi fleet recently (note that these are all minor).
I think this may have been the bottleneck to scaling up robotaxi service.
The next few months will be telling; if 14.3 is a significant step change we should see a more aggressive rollout of monitorless robotaxis.

I suck at reading and responding to emails.
Just responded to one 2 weeks late for a deadline.
A big upcoming book wanted me to write a blurb.
It was already at the typesetters, but the publishers knew me so they agreed to do a page replace on the typeset book!
So if you see my quote on an upcoming book you know that hoops were jumped through to get it in there.
I hope it's worthy.

I wonder why this wasn’t invented 10+ years ago. All the pieces were in place to do it.
Seems wildly useful for movers and for old people. You can buy similar ones on AliExpress for under $1,000. Meanwhile, people sell their houses because they can’t navigate the stairs easily.

Rivians UHF vs Tesla Full Self-Driving
This was my first time getting to test out Rivians new universal hands free and I was honestly a bit surprised by how it did. I understand this is their first shot at this and it's only going to get better from here - but truthfully this is worse than any version of FSD or Auto-Pilot that I have ever used.
I respect Rivian as a company, but as always I try to be unbaised in my opinions so this is my unfiltered thoughts of where I think UHF is today.
Hoping to test it out more as the system gets major updates!

I am a little sick of people saying it has been solved. Some have been saying that for two years or more. Sure, they see a path forward, but it can still be the case that not even Elon knows for sure when they can scale yet. If you asked him 8-9 months ago he would have predicted thousands of robotaxis by now. I hope you are correct, but I still think the internal safety data is the main blocker.
