I had met @narendramodi back in 2013. As a 25 year old with a radical idea which everyone else would reject in seconds saying ‘India mein cycle kaun chalayega?’, he patiently listened, asked sensible questions on how it would work and took a decision in under 2 minutes.
I was naturally impressed to see a receptive, open-minded person who gave me a patient listening.
I went ahead and launched the service while he went on to become the Prime Minister. I was hoping, him being in the centre would bring about policies to encourage public transport and cycling.
Instead all we got over the last 12 years was car centric infrastructure such as flyovers, random one-off metro in tier 2&3 cities that serve no purpose, crores of subsidies towards
EV adoption (private vehicles) and c₹&₹)(@ cities! And now today, he is appealing to the world to reduce consumption of petrol and diesel.
Even after getting 2 decisive mandates with such majority, you sir couldn’t muster courage to do the right thing.
I still don’t see any option other than @BJP4India at the centre. The only way to get things done now is constructive criticism irrespective of the government in power. But I can’t help share my sincere disappointment in you.

My appeal to PM Modi-
In order to save petrol & diesel, please make it mandatory for bureaucrats, MLAs & MPs to use public buses and metro instead of large convoys.
It will also be a good opportunity for them to experience world-class infrastructure they are building for us.

As an urgent austerity measure in NATIONAL INTEREST will every union minister, chief minister, MLA and MP give us, the people, an assurance and undertaking that they will not have more than 3 cars in their entourage? Same for some top industrialists! After all fuel is a limited resource and the more they deplete, the less there is for the rest of India!

Hindmata, Sion, Kurla still drown every monsoon like clockwork.
Name one ‘first world city’ that paved its wetlands instead of restoring them. NYC didn’t after Sandy. Rotterdam didn’t. Singapore didn’t. They learned.
But we won’t, neither from our experience nor from that of ‘1st World Cities’ that we wish to emulate.

If mangroves are the ONLY flood barrier, then I wonder why Marine Drive aka Queen's Necklace has never flooded. Even during high tides and heavy rainfall, the sea tries its best, only to meet Tetrapods. And the following concrete embankment. At max a few waves splash through and kekdas end up figuring out ki BC dariya kidhar gaya?! This entire narrative that we can't engineer anti-flood provisions is evil. All of SoBo is reclaimed land on backwaters. It has been like this for 200 years now. The city is still here. Not just surviving, but growing. And we'll continue to push our limits. Every mangrove in the way will be cut. Every tree will have to go. You are in a city. Not a jungle. And despite all our greed, 1/3rd of our land is reserved and marked as a Forest (SGNP), where four dozen bibtyas (leopards) live in harmony with us. Monkeys, deers, gharial etc, all are still among us. Stop your BS Greta Syndrome. We will build. We will build as much as we want. We will plow through your ecosystem to create a new one. And we won't apologise for being normal. We have every right to be a first world city.

In 2017, Paris was struggling with severe air pollution.
The government introduced a major plan to add bike lanes on every road and brought in rules to restrict car sales.
Just 8 years later, the city is now pollution free.
Yet in India, I don’t see anyone seriously working to solve the root cause of air pollution.
They are too busy sitting in AC cabins, warming their seat
