The secret plan is out! Two great articles today about our plan to capture a small asteroid and bring it into Earth orbit. The concept is part of our New Moon mission, which explores relocating a small near-Earth asteroid into a controlled orbit as the first step toward building industrial infrastructure in space. Our team has been developing the key technologies for this approach for years, including capture mechanisms to constrain and move small asteroids and orbital debris. Accessing materials already in space could eventually enable a new generation of industries beyond Earth. If you're interested in the future of space resources, these articles are worth a read. hashtag#space hashtag#asteroidmining hashtag#spacetechnology hashtag#spacex hashtag#venture

Over the past 20 years, Musk’s Solar City company has built a total of 4 GW of solar power capacity on Earth. That works out to 0.2 GW per year. He now projects that he will manufacture 1000 GW per year of solar power on the Moon and install and deploy them on AI satellites in space, which he shall also build. NB: Neither Musk nor anyone else has ever manufactured a single kilowatt of photovoltaic panels out of lunar simulant material in a vacuum chamber on Earth, let alone doing it on the Moon. NB: Lunar simulant has been available for such experiments for 50 years.

SpaceX is now shifting their priorities into building a Moon Base - doing so in less than a decade. This proposal from the ISU involves converting a Starship into a lunar base, Skylab-style. Starship’s ~1000m^ 3 of pressurized volume would result in a copious base.

Former Canadian Olympic snowboarder and the largest cocaine distributor in Canada, Ryan Wedding, on the list of FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives for allegedly running a criminal enterprise stretching across the United States, Canada, Mexico and Colombia, was captured overnight Thursday in a joint operation by the FBI and Mexican Government in Mexico. According to FBI Director Kash Patel, Wedding is on the way to the United States to face charges of running a continuing criminal enterprise, committing murder in connection with a continuing criminal enterprise and assorted drug crimes, after being indicted by a Federal Court in California.
