UPDATE: Paige Ostroushko and her boyfriend are now trying to raise $12,000 off of Paige assaulting me. Paige and her boyfriend, have created a GoFundMe stating that Paige is a “rape survivor” and that the reason she assaulted me is because I laughed at, “a statement…made about rape in ICE detention centers”. Not only is this allegation that I laughed about the topic of rape an egregious LIE, but it was Paige’s mother Deyanna who came up to me and, WITHOUT REASON, began screaming in my face that I “don’t give a shit” about women and children who are sexually assaulted. I immediately clarified to Deyanna that it is my concern for women and children that led to my passion in covering the border crisis for the last 6 years.
