1/ Why AI is not going to replace programmers: When I was in college studying Computer Science in 2005, I was told that out-sourcing to India will remove the demand for programmers. It was a real fear! AI replacing coders, I think, it’s based on a similar misconception 🧵

1. I have something in my pocket that instantly adapts to my learning style. It’s incredibly relieving. No concept too difficult to understand 2. A lot of introductory courses feel slow now. “This could’ve been a ChatGPT conversation” 3. FOMO. If you’re just starting to learn AI fundamentals, you know the gap is huge. “Is this even worth it?” Overall, I’ve become more picky about what I focus on. Even after all of these advancements, there’s still no model out there that can do basic electrical/mechanical/chemical/civil engineering It has forced me to think more long term. And that’s a good thing!

Hopefully nobody. Release us from this fucking hell of constant accountability. The rise of ubiquitous cameras gave birth to the most stressful period of human history, and the development of totally perfect deep fakes is our only way out.
