Now, Congress must pass President Trump’s $350B Recon 3.0 so we can lock these procurements into formal contracts, sending the definitive demand signal that gives private industry the confidence to keep pooling billions of their own capital into our national defense. This is the ultimate evolution of President Reagan’s economic legacy: a national security 'trickle-down' where securing our borders and rebuilding our military simultaneously unleashes a flood of private capital back into America’s industrial heartland.

The Medal of Honor is our nation’s highest award for valor. Today, we honor two legendary Marines who defined heroism: Col. John Ripley and Maj. James Capers Jr. It was my honor to sign their citations.   If you don’t know their stories, read their citations. When the situation demanded it, they rose to the challenge to accomplish their missions with bravery and strength rarely seen.   As of June 18, 2026, it is now formal Department of the Navy policy that all Sailors and Marines, regardless of rank, will render a hand salute to all Medal of Honor recipients. Our heroes, like Col. Ripley and Maj. Capers, deserve no less. Semper Fi.
