Violent crime in DC is at its lowest level in 30 years. We had an unacceptable spike in 2023, so we changed our laws and strategies. Now, crime levels are not only down from 2023, but from before the pandemic. Our tactics are working, and we aren’t taking our foot off the gas.

New NYPD Chief Of Patrol Philip Rivera is an alumni of Con Sofrito in the Bronx. He seems to be very chummy with a mob associate and self admitted criminal. Why isn’t he investigated or terminated for associating with criminals among other things? Instead, he gets promoted. 🤔

To know Chief Gerald Nelson was to love him. As a “Young Buck” I had the privledge of working for Chief Nelson during my time in Brooklyn North. No one was more committed to the communities we serve and the cops who protect them than Gerry. He was truly one of a kind. My condolences go out to the entire Nelson family. Their patriarch leaves behind a legacy of service that will endure for all time.
