Do we stand for international law and national sovereignty, or not? Attacking a sovereign nation, the capture of Venezuelan President Maduro and his wife, and their imprisonment in the US is a violation of international law. International law is not optional, and we must defend it consistently without double standards. And of course this move by the US is not about drugs. If it was, Trump would not have pardoned one of the largest narco traffickers in the world last month. This is about the blatant pursuit of oil and regime change, plain and simple.

Good to see LFC have kept Kop tickets for the Barnsley FA Cup game priced the same as, and in some cases cheaper than, the 2008 match at Anfield. Without fans coming together to campaign, protest and negotiate, we’d be paying a lot more for football as @andydunnmirror highlights.

It ought to be an international scandal that the United States has sanctioned the UN special rapporteur, stripped her of bank accounts. Same with ICC. In order to defend Israeli atrocities in Gaza the US (aided by Britain) is trashing all legal and moral international norms.
