Our new preprint is out: We reanalyze & expand the highly-influential Boston school mask study by Cowger et al published in @NEJM - Our expanded sample actually found higher case rates (not significant) in the masking districts - The authors' original findings did not hold up when not using the very specific Callaway Sant'Anna Diff in Diff methodology which we argue was inappropriate to use given the data they had -We show districts that dropped masks 1st had the biggest drop in cases (!) -We found prior immunity could explain up to 2/3 of the variation in case rates (!) We discuss in detail why causal inference was inappropriate in the original paper (nejm.org/doi/full/10.10…) including statements about masks effectively reducing cases or being able to help mitigate structural racism Very grateful to have been able to work with this incredible team: @AChandra_TO @ShamezLadhani @VPrasadMDMPH & Ram Duriseti Hopefully the peer reviewed version of our paper will be available soon. Democrats (and their media allies) now routinely depict criticisms of DOJ, FBI, CIA, health policy officials or any other powerful executive branch agency as dangerous, inappropriate and even unpatriotic. That powerful officials should be immune from critique is authoritarian.

The era has passed when doctors were perceived as infallible bearers of divine wisdom, with the common “man” unquestioningly accepting their proclamations as absolute truth. If I have to debate ideologues (some of whom were wrongfully handed medical degrees) who claim that men can become women and that there is such a thing as “wrong puberty”, which children need to be “saved” from, no subject is beyond the scope of a debate.

If misinformation is the problem, does it not behoove you to do everything you possibly can to debunk it on one of the biggest platforms in the history of communication?
