“Before acquiring the Electric Pressure Cooker, life was quite difficult… I used to spend a lot of money.” For Namugaya Harriet in Jinja City, cooking was once costly, time-consuming and inefficient. Today, that story has changed. Through the Results-Based Financing (RBF) programme she accessed an Electric Pressure Cooker (EPC) at a 60% o subsidized cost. “There has been a tremendous change in my household… cooking is now much faster and more cost-effective.” The EPC is not only efficient but also environmentally friendly, reducing harmful indoor emissions and improving everyday living conditions. Harriet expresses her gratitude to UECCC and its partners for making clean cooking solutions more accessible and affordable to households like hers. More Ugandans are making the switch to clean, efficient energy through the RBF programme.
