Framework@FrameworkPuter
2026 actually is the Year of the Linux Desktop!!!

@mholt6 @SwiftOnSecurity I think the idea is that you can have the benefits of electric in your daily life, if your commute is within range. And you can still use it for longer road trips.
English

@SwiftOnSecurity Do you like it, more than an EV? I have tried to figure out what a PHEV is good for, seems to be the worst of both worlds. Limited range, you gotta worry about TWO fuel sources instead of one, etc. Enlighten me

@RichOToole The existence of Friendswood implies the existence of Enemieswood
English

They should rename League City to Big League City. Give it a leg up on Friendswood. 😭

@nateobrienn A huge killer of ticks? Opossum. Just bring them back

@JustCall_MeJo i don't believe in casual sex. My partners and I get dressed in black tie and evening gowns and only have formal sex. Although, in the office sometimes, on fridays, we'll have business casual sex.

@JonNeale @OCpatriot_ @KeruboSk Even early gen-X had the Apple Macintosh and WriteNow in College. You learned to save (to floppy!) all the time though, or risk losing the whole paper when something crashed.
English

@OCpatriot_ @KeruboSk Late gen X had computers and internet, at least at university.

@snyff @thegrugq Reminds me of this classic:

I wrote about what happens when you rewrite mature software with agents. You rebuild the features. You don't rebuild the scars.

@taipan168 @TerribleMaps No. Historically you needed your dominant hand to get your coffee out of the cupholder and work the touch screen.
English

Since 85-90% of the population is right handed, driving on the left with the steering wheel on the right makes most sense, since you are steering with your dominant hand. I will die on this hill.

@DocAtCDI @GeoRebekah Wait. How does wearing a belt prevent back pain or ...yeast infections?
English

@GeoRebekah Wait till you find out @GeoRebekah that they're also wearing jeans with no belt and shoes with no socks. It's like they're trying to speedrun a yeast infection and back pain simultaneously.

@RadioFreeTom @ArnoldBogis I can't believe your band opinions didn't make this laundry list

@Aella_Girl @YIMBYLAND One of my nieces was like this until we figured out she had reflux and elevated one end of her crib so she wasn't lying flat.
English

@YIMBYLAND If it's 95% of the time haven't you got lucky? My friend just had a baby and it requires intense round the clock maintenance (being held by a walking person for hours and hours) or else it screams
English

Crying is truly the smallest price to pay for having such a perfect little bundle of joy 95% of the time.
Babies fucking rule and it honestly all goes by way too fast.

Aella@Aella_Girl
i can't believe babies suck so much. i am pro kids, i like kids, we should have more kids, but it'd be so much easier to have a flourishing world full of kids if babies sucked less

@Mastiffs4ever @gayguycandleco No. There aren't any trees around the base of the Washington Monument

@Mary_at_Work @dieworkwear Just a small town midsize town girl
Livin' in a lonely world...
English

@dieworkwear Also, you lose credibility when you don't know whether you live in a small town or a midsize town.
English

i don't want credibility with xenophobes. i wish you nothing but a long life of spending a lot of money on ugly clothes that don't fit

Wayne@CWayneIII
@dieworkwear You lose credibility in menswear when you have no problem with Oxford slob but hate on Hagseth socks
English

@Rainmaker1973 Okay, but realistically, where are you putting that window?

@stavridisj Did she meet the same standards as the men? Did she increase lethality?

15 years ago,I strongly encouraged my daughter to take a commission in the USN. She served proudly on active duty for 5 years. Today, I couldn't give her that same advice, given the way the role of women is viewed within DoD. Big mistake, long term repercussions. military.com/daily-news/202…
