🚨 We NEED to talk about Flock! In the past year alone: 👉 At least 14 documented cases of officers using license plate readers to stalk women. 👉 At least 13 documented cases where Flock algorithm errors led to innocent people being arrested. 👉 Tens of thousands of improper ALPR searches with no case number or justification. 👉 Hundreds of agencies (ICE, ATF, DHS) accessing Flock data that cities never approved. This is not a glitch, it's a pattern. Safety theater with real-world consequences.

Parsolvo recommends that the city of Austin retire 230 technology applications, about a 20% reduction, for a potential annual savings of $49M-$142M. Just software contract changes. Not a single city job cut.

A statement from Wise County Judge J.D. Clark: "Wise County emergency responders are actively managing a severe weather–related incident impacting the Runaway Bay area this evening. Hazardous conditions have resulted in a significant emergency response, with multiple fire departments, law enforcement agencies, and Wise County EMS units either on scene or en route. All available county ambulances are committed to the incident, and numerous mutual‑aid resources have been requested to support ongoing operations due to the scale of the event. For the safety of both the public and first responders, we strongly urge residents to avoid the Runaway Bay area. Roadway congestion can delay emergency access and hinder life‑safety operations. Additional updates will be provided as conditions evolve and more information becomes available."

👁‍🗨Innocent driver flagged as a Flock target A DMV error mixing up an O for a zero has this Colorado man getting pulled over like he’s a fugitive, all because an ALPR database "hot list" keeps auto‑pinging cops every time he drives past a camera. "It's confusing and creepy."

Here’s a look at the San Gabriel River from the Shady River RV Resort in Georgetown. It’s one of two mobile homes parks that has been ordered to evacuate due to flash flooding in the area. A resident tells me the last time he saw the water this high was last July.

Destroying the @InternetArchive's @WayBackMachine would be the equivalent of the burning of the Library of Alexandria - one of the worst losses of knowledge in history. Media giants are now threatening to do this. We can't let this happen. Pass it on.

Honestly, hats off to @data_atx for flagging this and @KirkPWatson for asking questions. We need more fiscal hawks looking at Project Connect with an eye towards savings. Every $ we save is another step closer to funding the airport extension.

TEXAS BUILT A $11 BILLION SURVEILLANCE STATE WHILE HANDING OUT DATA CENTER WELFARE Your state is paying Palantir $1.2 million to scan 40+ billion faces through 2030. Here's what Texas taxpayers are funding: 1. DPS pays $1.2M for access to 40+ billion scraped facial images through Clearview AI contract lasting through 2030 2. Operation Drawbridge: 9,000+ wildlife cameras generate 250,000 daily AI-analyzed images via $6M Deloitte contract 3. Data centers get 15-year tax exemptions for $200M investment but only required to create 20 jobs 4. Tangles software contract costs $5.3M for social media scraping and warrantless cell phone tracking 5. Houston alone deployed 3,800+ Flock Safety license plate readers enabling real-time vehicle tracking 6. Operation Lone Star surveillance costs $11 billion while data center subsidies cost $130M annually Now follow the money: Palantir employees → $344,914 to RNC, $143,020 to NRSC Palantir → $1.2M Texas DPS contract through 2030 Joe Lonsdale (Palantir co-founder) → Relocated to Texas, maximum political donations Amazon/Google/Meta/Microsoft → Pursuing uncapped data center tax incentives worth hundreds of millions Technocracy Index Score: 75.7/100 — HIGH RISK Full investigation with every name, dollar amount, and contract: technocracyatlas.com/state-map @GregAbbott_TX @SenTedCruz @JohnCornyn @ACLUofTexas @LukeMacias @FARFA @JoeLonsdale

Went to a 'Tenebrae' service last night at St Marys next to the Capital. Never been to one before. Not sure what to expect going in.. and wow We get there 3 minutes early, the cathedral is overflowing, standing room only, we are standing on the periphery. There is a hushed tense energy. There are 15 candles, represeting Jesus, apostles, and marys. the priests walk in, they chant sing Jeremiah, they sing Isaiah, a small choir starts softly. We can't see where they are , it sounds like its coming from the roof behind us, my daughter tells me this is a 4 part harmony, we can't understand the words. Its halo theme-song esque. Angelic. As they sing, every now and then, someone extinguishes one of the candles. The singing is becoming more intense. The men soften, a lone woman now starts singing loudly, it is the most beautiful singing I have ever heard. This is NYC opera level. There is 1 candle left. The priest takes it. Puts it out. Jesus is dead. All the lights in the cathedral go out. pitch black. A roar now as everyone slams books and their feet on the ground. To this point , the stained glass at the front has been dim, barely visible, but now with the lights out and city lights behind, it is shinging bright. Everyone is focused on Marys face as the roar continues. The lights come on , everyone files out into the city, incredible start to the easter weekend.

Last fall, the City of Austin told taxpayers that we needed to approve a tax rate increase for basic EMS and fire services. Meanwhile, they were sitting on an IT audit that showed a savings opportunity multiples of the budget gap - and they weren't planning on sharing it with us.

Austin city council is going after your local bodega They are working on a new rule that would ban new stores that sell tobacco from being 1000ft from a school BUT there is a carve out for large retailers like WalMart
