Kenyans now have a clearer and more accessible path to initiate the removal of judges accused of misconduct, incompetence, or ethical violations under the proposed Judicial Service (Petition for Removal of a Judge) (Procedure) Regulations, 2026, made by Kenya’s Judicial Service Commission in exercise of the powers conferred by section 47(1) and section 47(2)(c) of the Judicial Service Act. The draft regulations seek to establish a clear and structured process for receiving, investigating, and determining petitions for the removal of judges, while safeguarding judicial independence. Kenya’s JSC has now opened the final draft for public scrutiny, giving stakeholders and members of the public 7 days to review and submit their views before the regulations are published in the Kenya Gazette. Question: isn’t it time for Uganda to put in place similarly clear, transparent, and detailed procedures for handling petitions seeking the removal of judicial officers accused of misconduct, incompetence, or ethical violations? “Is one life worth $115m?” This is a question that can only be asked by a person who lives in a country in which a Judge Ssekaana ruled that the life of a young Ugandan was worth no more than UGX 50m (less than $15,000) because he hadn’t reached his potential. The self hate and self devaluation is institutionalized and passed down in AI generated, intellectually lazy missives like this one by @davimasinde. Patently absurd. That America is willing to lose such costly equipment to save one soldier is credit to them. Why would anyone question them for it?

𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜 𝐅𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐭? 🔁➡️ The mainstream media is too scared to tell you the truth. We just watched a total tactical disaster unfold in Iran, and they’re calling it a "rescue"? 🔁➡️ Let’s get real. To save one single airman, the U.S. just burned a hole in the taxpayer’s pocket and nuked its own elite tech. 🔁➡️ Here’s the butcher’s bill: One HC-130J Combat King II and two MH-6M Little Birds from the 160th SOAR. We’re talking about $115 million in hardware gone. 🔁➡️ They didn’t just lose them; they had to blow them up themselves to keep Iran from stealing the tech. That’s not a win; that’s a desperate, $100M+ cover-up of a botched job. 🔁➡️ Now, let’s talk math for the "Operation Failure" crowd. If the U.S. is willing to sacrifice a specialized C-130 and Delta Force’s favorite birds for one guy, what happens when Iran captures five more? 🔁➡️ Do they send the entire Pacific Fleet? Do they trade a carrier for a squad? This level of risk is mathematically unsustainable and strategically insane. Americans are literally hemorrhaging elite assets for PR wins that look like total defeats on the ground.

Easter Sunday surprise! I’ve just come across some fascinating news I didn’t realize there are elite units as daring as the UPDF Commandos. One standout example is America’s renowned Delta Force. In a high-risk Saturday night operation, U.S. Special Operations forces carried out a dramatic rescue deep inside enemy territory. An Air Force weapons officer, whose fighter jet had been shot down in Iran, was successfully extracted after evading capture for more than 24 hours in rugged mountainous terrain, armed with little more than a pistol. Donald Trump confirmed shortly after midnight that the officer had been rescued safely. He noted that although the airman sustained injuries, he is expected to recover fully and importantly, there were no U.S. casualties. The mission unfolded as a tense race against time, with both U.S. and Iranian forces searching for the downed officer. As American troops closed in, a firefight broke out before they managed to secure and extract him. The operation reportedly involved hundreds of special operations personnel. The incident began when an F-15E Strike Eagle was shot down the first such loss in the ongoing conflict. While the pilot was rescued quickly, the weapons systems officer remained missing, triggering an urgent and complex recovery mission. Despite setbacks including transport planes getting stranded and later destroyed to prevent them from falling into enemy hands the mission ultimately succeeded. The rescued officer was flown to Kuwait for medical treatment. Truly a heroic operation by U.S. commandos comparable to the bravery and capability of Uganda’s UPDF and SFC Commandos.

@TheMutaD Al Ahaly and Zamaleck stadiums have shopping areas outside . These are a good source of income . Look at Namboole. After games, no more activities around the stadium. Poor planning and corruption using the army to construct sports facilities.

The National Council for Sports has SOME very, very few good people. They should use this season to introspect. What happens to 3 world class facilities after one hosts AFCON? DO we go the way of the botched & expensive (mis)management of Uganda Airlines revival or change?

The Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi is fast becoming a global sensation; a leader beloved by most. Like Ali Larijani, he gives Iran a calming, humane face; unlike the monster the world has been told it is. That means only one thing; it might not be long before he’s targeted by the “defenders of western values”.
