One thing many on the spectrum don't understand is that poverty of speech is almost universally interpreted as "I don't want to talk," leading them to alienate others while thinking they're just speaking plainly.

@woocassh I've switched from Postmark to AWS SES, and god damn how much cheaper it is ($0.10/1000 emails)!!
It's a pain to set up and you have to get verified on there (at least when I started using it a few years ago), but it's worth it

Today I moved away from supabase for SubtitlesFast
supabase -> SQLite
I used supabase as an experiment last year. It was so easy to setup a db, few clicks barabim barabum and it's done
always thought that setting up db instance on server was a pain, passwords, permissions, friction in general
so supabase definitely reduced the friction
but holy shit, i never realised how much latency it added to my product
I moved to SQLite as per papa's @levelsio advice and my app is VISIBLY quicker on the frontend
RankGoat is already on SQLite and it's a breeze
also debugging with Claude is much easier now
note to self: keep it simple stupid
just remember to run regular backups to another server and you're golden
the next experiment is to try Cloudflare for email I think and shed the Postmark bill, anyone done this yet?

I'm not even sure how I can score Fable, because every time I turn around, @claudeai has switched me back to Opus and I have no idea how much work was done in either model.
Is Fable any good? I don't know. Maybe, maybe not.

@theo Having the option to switch between 3 & 5 would be nice. I like the priority arrangement on 3 but sometimes I also don’t like my awareness of tabs moving around

Problem: You want to share skills across the company.
Solution: Use Claude's plugin marketplace.
Here's how:
1. Put the skills in a GitHub repo with a simple marketplace.json manifest (describes the group of skills).
2. Configure the Anthropic org settings to auto install the skills in the GitHub repo.
Two big wins:
1. Everyone gets the skills by default. No hunting around or manual install required.
2. If we update the skills, everyone gets the last version immediately.

A few patterns we frequently use with Fable 5: Use Fable 5 as an "advisor." An executor (Sonnet 5) calls Fable 5 for guidance. Most tokens are billed at the lower executor rate.

@blainemalone @levelsio No one eats “a lot” of bananas for a total carb replacement. 1-2 bananas in the morning / pre-workout and then sustained carbs throughout the day, ie broccoli, asparagus, etc.

For me it's the opposite: simple carbs make me tired and lethargic and bloated
A big misconception is that only starches like rice, bread and potatoes are carbs
But vegetables and fruit ARE carbs too! Berries are carbs! A banana is carbs! Brussels sprouts are carbs! But they're even better carbs called complex carbs
You can literally just skip simple carbs (like white rice, regular bread and poatoes) and only eat complex carbs and you'll feel better because you'll have more stable energy levels with less blood sugar spikes, reduced risk of diabetes, heart disease
Combine that with protein from good meat and you have most nutrients covered!
